Welcome to my blog! You may call me C, and my pronouns are they/them/theirs. This is a space for me to share my love for the Theoi.

I signed the Xenia Declaration and you should too. Hatred has no place in Hellenism.

Lord Apollon is the god who I have built the strongest relationship with during my time as a Hellenic Polytheist. As such, you will find many posts about Him. However, I worship quite a few of the Theoi, so don't be surprised if you see a few poems/prayers/etc dedicated to other gods.

2023 is (hopefully) going to be a year where I spend more time on here-- not just posting carefully crafted poems but rather sharing more of my unfiltered rants about how much I love the gods.

sorry it’s been like 3 months since i posted. but anyways here’s a piece i saw at a museum of Dionysos and a worshipper that actually makes me tear up. they are so intimate!!! look at the way they’re smiling at each other!!! please do not contact me this is all i’m thinking about for the next 3-5 business days!!!

happy new year everyone! i’m going to make a few changes to this blog over the coming days (not too much, just some aesthetic things). hope everyone is doing well. praise be to the deathless ones!

my favorite thing about the gods is that they are kind. they are so unbelievably loving towards us mortals, gentle despite their huge amounts of power. to be cherished by the Theoi is a gift, and one they freely give us. words cannot express the love i feel for them.

To Apollon the Healer

For my deliverance from pain

and continued blessings,

who else do I have to thank but You, Paian?

When I cried out for Your radiance

to save me from blinding pain,

You answered.

May I now delight You

in my wellness, Apollon--

good health all thanks to You.

For Dionysos

wine, dark and rich and flowing,

staining His lips and whatever skin He touches

blood, dark and rich and flowing

staining the teeth of the flesh-eating God

as He delightedly descends i wonder;

was there ever a difference between the two?

i dance, i thrash, covered in red--

wine and blood in equal measure

and the Mad God is watching me,

and the Mad God is within me,

joining in my wild reveling

and He sees me, and i witness Him,

and I am on my knees weeping deep rich red

crying out in ecstasy for the twice-born Dionysos,

He who is the cause of my frenzy--

yet He who is the only cure

I was casually skimming the textbook for my summer Latin course and my eyes landed on the sentence “Apollō mē saepe servat”, which translates to, “Apollon often saves me” - call me emotionally fragile but I cried a bit (a lot), especially since I’ve been having a bummer of a day. Praise be to Lord Apollon, always a savior to those in need of Him!
