Taikouvember 2024 has already come to an end - and we wanted to say "thank you" to all participants this year!

There hasn't been much resonance this time, but taking the most recent events around the globe into consideration, this shouldn't have been too surprising.

Prompt: Friendship; What is your favorite aspect{s} about their relationship/dynamic with Yamato?

I don't even want to tell you how long it took to compile all these screenshots - and how I could have taken several more after all. However, my main intention was to give an overview of what their bond is all about in my opinion - and how much I love all these layers about them, as complementary and contradicting as they are.

When I'm asked to describe them with a trope, I usually go for "partners in crime", because they're constantly scheming, planning and supporting each other - but they can also be bickering dorks, who may catch the other off guard, tease or frustrate one another due to different priorities or misunderstandings.

I love that, despite their complementing roles as "brawns and brains", there are enough instances in which they're equally stupid and silly and, in opposition to the teasing and bickering part, completely on the same page and wavelength.

Yes, there may also be times when they don't agree with each other, call the other out, fight and argue beyond just casual bickering - but in the end, despite everything, they will always have each other's backs. They're incredibly loyal and observant, trust and rely on each other's skills and qualities... And may even confide in and open up to one another - or at least read the other person without many words needed.

Their bond may not always be at the forefront of the series, but all these little bits simply make their friendship endlessly special to me.

I don't think I'll be able to to draw for the whole week, but I'll try!

@taikouvember Day 7: Free Day - The ship that has taken over (and maybe even saved) my heart

When preparing for Taikouvember, I took a look at my gallery for this year alone - and I noticed just HOW much I had drawn them. Granted, I have been obsessed with them since early 2021, but this year has not been easy for me. There have been a lot of changes, in my private life and career as well as emotionally, things have changed, circumstances, people, bonds... It wasn't always easy. And I won't even deny that I have procrastinated, dove into Digimon and the ship for the sake of escapism - but that's not necessarily and thoroughly a bad thing. I have met a lot of like-minded - and also very different - people, have processed myself and my own behaviour patterns, explored thoughts and concepts I hadn't done before.

It was a year of change. And these two have helped me to cope as well. There is a reason why I feel so drawn to them and their dynamic. It may be idealized sometimes, but in my perception, there is just this sense of incredible loyalty, devotion and ambition that keeps drawing me in - despite their obvious differences on the surface. Opposites attract, you might say, but some people may be too different for their bond to stand the test of time. And even if canon has been a little shaky once or twice, the overall impression the different forms of Digimon give me is - that they can do it. Sure, the focus on the art above is primarily romantic, but even on a platonic base... Not everyone is as lucky as that, to find someone to always come home to. Even when things go downhill for a while, some bonds are meant to stay. Always.

So while I'm writing these lines, I'm listening to this song and hope that, whoever is reading this, will feel what I am trying to convey. I am thankful to have been able to participate in this event and am glad to see everyone else enjoying it too. Thank you for listening.

{DigiAdvs}/{Index} IzzyIzumi / KoushirouIzumi's AMVs for Koushiro Izumi, Taichi Yagami, & Koushiro x Taichi {KouTai}/{Taishiro}

I was never really able to make more proper introductory posts / indexes of all my DigiAdvs stuff before this because every time I tried, this site would either a. Eat the post b. not show the links properly or c. It wouldn't even show in the tags correctly. So I'm making a better index post now!

I'm not an artist and my writing is more of a side thing. I mainly focus instead on A.M.V.s, since I've been steadily improving on making those over a span of many years.

Here is an index for all of my A.M.V.s / vid edits centered around either Koushiro Izumi {notably}, Taichi Yagami, and/or the KouTai / Taishiro ship. (It's pretty much my "O.T.P of {DigiAdvs} O.T.Ps", so I hope that can be respected, too. And due to these being A.M.V.s, Most of my works could probably work in a semi canon compliant sense but I'm also perfectly fine with reading other things in as A.U.s) {The post is not-rebloggable for reasons aka me wanting to be able to go back and add to it. I know there's been a lot of DigiAdvs fan-events going on lately. I usually can't participate in events for varying reasons, but I'm glad to share my past works in the form of this index. All were created out of Positivity and respect for this series.

@taikouvember Day 1: The Multiverse: Canon vs. AU

One of my favourite AUs of recent times has been my own little Miraculous Ladybug Taishirou AU; and since the series itself has been delving pretty deep into its own multiverse this year, I thought there was no better opportunity than to pay homage to the movie that came out this year. Granted, it doesn't play out exactly as it did there - but even if my own version of the reveal was a little bit more on the dramatic side, the movie scene was peak romantic cheese and hasn't left my mind ever since I watched it. I wouldn't mind my OTP to find happiness and a happy end like this after all...
