i think fandom drama on this hellsite would be a lot more bearable if people remembered for like .5 seconds that the shows they're calling horribly problematic for not being nuanced enough are age rated as TV-Y7 on netflix

like you can absolutely enjoy TV-Y7 shows. I'm not making fun of people who do. You can also talk about what messages the show may be sending to children. But when analyzing them, you've got to keep in mind that they are TV-Y7--aka, children's shows--and therefore meant to be suitable for seven year olds, and therefore they are not going to be as complicated/nuanced as something meant for adults

Me: The Digimon Adventure + 02 US dub?? What a boring dub I *trips* *multiples of VHS tapes of the Digimon US dub spill from my Digimon backpack* f*CK those aren't mine i swear i'm just holding them for a friend i- *slips on a pile of 2000s~2010 era VHS tapes all lovingly labelled with "DIGIMON!" in various colors of markers* f* ck NO they're not mine i HATE it these dubs are terrible and i dont even like ALL the voice actors i just- *more VHS tapes fall out as i fall to my knees, desperately trying to pick them up even though I no longer have a VHS player to play them in, though I somehow still mysteriously have a VHS rewinder that works and yET* hang on a sec jUst LISTEN
