so i got my ~ official ~ tsuritama book yesterday :’) i know a few others have posted pics of it before but i thought it would be nice for those newer to the fandom to see!

so in honor of tsuritama weekend, i thought i would post a few more (better quality) photos of my ~official log book~ i got back in February!

AKA Does Tumblr Have a Character Limit, Because If It Turns Out I Can’t Post This As Planned I Am Going To Cut A Bitch.
Allow me to explain.
So a couple of weeks ago, thanks to staying-afloatunderwater, I found out about the novel verse of Tsuritama being posted on the noitaminA website. staying-afloatunderwater had translated part of the first chapter, but the task was kindly handed over to me.
tl;dr - I’m translating the Tsuritama novel.

[EDIT:] So yeah Tumblr is troublesome at times, ie there are some formatting errors within the chapter, I have no idea how they got in there, I’m trying to fix them as I find them, but with the people who’ve already reblogged this post you might still see them if you got to the chapter through someone else’s blog (though you shouldn’t since the read more should link back to my blog anyway) but just a heads up. Apologies.
Both character designers have drawn new art for the upcoming ten year anniversary! These illustrations will be distributed with not yet disclosed goods in the Noitamina store!
Further the café will run a Tsuritama themed menu again! For Haru and Yuki's birthday, a special menu will also be available!
And lastly, at the end of March the Tsuritama Radio show will be back! The four main character voice actors will be answering listener questions, it seems!
Since this story is fairly short, I wanted to give it a real line-by-line translation. Please be aware though that this is a cleaned up machine translation. I did try to double-check all of the lines, but my Japanese is beginner level and there is a big margin for error!

He hadn't seen Haru since yesterday.
Yuki deftly put a small colorful fish on the hook and immediately stopped thinking about it again. There were many other things to think of. Much had happened in the last year and a half.
The Enoshima Boom that was caused by the turmoil a while back had come and gone. Though a few tourists still came by to see the Enoshima Dance, Heihach's shout that "The Era of Enoshima has come!" did not actually come true. The island returned to its original tranquil state.
It was Yuki's second year working at HEMINGWAY now. The store manager (the cat) had gotten fat again. The Tapioca drink that's served on a duck shaped coaster was as popular as ever. Ayumi, who had successfully become Misaki's husband, was currently repairing the roof of the store. The typhoon last week had blown off a part of the roof.
When the typhoon came, Yuki had remembered the turmoil of back then for a little, but he didn't say that out loud.

Happy birthday to Yuki [Mar. 31st] + Haru [Apr. 1st]!!! Tsuritama first aired Apr. 13, 2k12; it’s almost been a full 10 years!! (Can you believe it?!?) [No, I can’t] {@ Atsuya Uki and Tsuritama Team, we’re all still waiting for a sequel!!!}
I wasn’t originally planning to make this, but, I felt like it had been a long time since I tried to do something for them, {I’m not an artist, have trouble writing fic etc…} [Though I have also been trying to improve my A.M.V. editing ability] So even though this is imperfect, I didn’t get to fit in all scenes I wanted, etc., (my editor literally won’t let me add in anymore w/out crashing lol) Hopefully this is passable as my tribute to this series I love dearly!
Haru especially has always been one of my favs, (but also Yuki!) So they’re the main focus of this A.M.V., I did try to fit some of the ensemble (especially Akira) in too though! Some clips (Ep06…) I meant to trim down more but again, editor literally is not letting me but in the end the longer clips fit, so I kept them!
Also, if you haven’t seen yet, there’s a {from our past year of 2020} post-series short story taking place when Yuki & Haru are 19! I really recommend it if you get a chance, it has nice post-series info!
