This is your casual reminder to stay inside this Pesach. Save lives by staying on your couch and watching cat videos.

They don’t get to take away our mourning or our grief. They don’t get to take away our chance to heal.

I noticed recently that the older I get, the more overtly, aggressively Jewish I become. I used to be apologetic about telling someone I couldn’t go out on Shabbat, or hesitant to ask for time off for a holiday, because to be Jewish is to be different and to be different is hard.  

But these days? No apologies. I’m in my 30s, which is definitely too old to worry about the ever-moving goalpost of how Jewish is too Jewish. I’m over pruning away parts of myself to be more relatable to goyim. I just don’t care anymore.

And I have to say, that is an incredibly liberating realization.
