Ueda-sensei just confirmed on his twitter (twitter @ atsuwo521) that these chapter covers indeed match. Meaning that yes, Gray is asking Juvia to dance! He says:

‪By all means, please have a look!‬

‪By the way, I made the perspective of this cover opposite from the other one.” ‬

I'm so thrilled to be finally posting this!! It's my first drawing ever for a zine, which I did around May last year, for the @gruviazine. All that's left for me to say is that it was a pleasure working with everyone on the team and that I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I enjoyed drawing it!!💙💙💙

Gruvia fanzine project

Hey everyone! Some Gruvia fans are planning to make a Gruvia fanzine to send to Mashima-sensei, just like this one was given to him. We want to show him love for our beloved couple as well as appreciation for all he’s done for us.

There’s no actual deadline yet, as this is still in the first stages of planning. But we would like as much participation as possible and need to make a list of artists. Ideally we are aiming to complete the zine in two months once we officially start, and have an artist list. So let’s just say the due date is July 10th 2018.

Just a few things to note:

  • It’s free theme (but no NSFW). However, the art must be Gruvia or Gruvia with their son. Please draw Gruvia however you would like. It’s a Gruvia fanzine after all!
  • Art must be NEW. Art dedicated for the zine should not be posted publicly until the zine is finished, as long as the artist would like to.
  • Art must be digital.
  • Art files must be in 300 DPI and in color model scheme (CYMK) which is best for printing.
  • The book will be A5 format so please adjust your art size accordingly. We will try and make a template to send you to ensure your art will not be cut off. We don’t have it as of right now though.
  • On another template with another Gruvia art (old or new), you can write a message of support to Mashima-sensei. Be specific in your message so not all messages sound the same. It can be about how much FT means to you, how it helped you in life or as an artist, your favorite characters, your favorite couple, Gruvia (of course xD), etc. Please use the font “comic sans” while typing your message. Here is an example by @tea-lief. So essentially you are submitting two art pieces: one that is completely new, never posted (full page for the zine). And one that can be new or old (message page). However you can also write a message without any art as well. Or you don’t have to write any message at all, we just thought it would be a nice thing for Mashima-sensei and his fans!
  • Absolutely no plagiarism. If we see this, you will not be included in the zine. We DO NOT CONDONE stealing work of any kind from anybody.

This is how you will confirm your participation. If you reply to this message only, there is no guarantee you will be added as this post will not be actively monitored. The last chapter of FT has been published today and it's been a long hell of a ride.

I started watching the anime back at the end of 2011/start of 2012. It was one of these animes that's always around and I had actually watched the first episode maybe two times already but I never got interested enough to continue, even though the manga had all my fave elements: fantasy, adventures, a little bit of humour and apparently also sad and touching moments., and of course romance. Then one day I saw this picture of topless, bandaged Gray and Erza blushing and I remember thinking: OTP material right here (turned out Gray is always shirtless and Erza was blushing because she had found Lucy's panties drawer lol). I asked who they were so I went and finally got to watch the whole thing. I fell in love with the story and the characters. Gray was my bb since day 1 and I couldn't wait for Erza to appear. I shipped them so hard at first but then Juvia appeared; I remember thinking I'm gonna love this girl so bad even if she's a bad one because WATER GIRL; turned out she was Gray's romantic interest. I didn't like them together at first but they eventually grew on me and here we are now (I believe Tenrou was the arc where I said okay Lola, they're the cutest). Lucy and especially Natsu took some more time but I love them both so much now, too. The secondary characters are also so lovable, my girls Mira and Lisanna, Cana, Laxus... I could go on forever and of course JELLAL THE MOST PRECIOUS BUN. I didn't pick up the manga until the GMG; chapter 334 made me feel so, so much I decided I needed to read it, too. Also I love Mashima's style with all my heart and god, the anime doesn't do justice to Gray's design. I discovered a whole new world with Gray's design💙💙 Even though I have had my ups and downs with FT (the last two arcs were kind of meh) overall is definitely one of my top 3 mangas and it will always have a special place in my heart. Here's to hoping for Mashima's next work!!
