Aommiiiiii, if Odin had not gone into the weapon's vault to confront Loki when he was grabbing the casket, the Destroyer was going to attack right? ~Angie

if you are speaking of the blue-penciled script of Thor,  then yes, the destroyer was waking up because Loki was touching the casket, and yes it would've attacked him but he didn't give a shit.

odin got down there before shit got out of hand but then this is Loki...

shit always gets out of hand.

In the Lokasenna tale, Odinn verbally abuses Loki for allowing himself to be impregnated, calling him argr - a crude form of abuse inferring that one takes the passive role in intercourse with another man. The noun is ergi - and there is the suggestion that anyone repeatedly & willingly doing so is regarded differently from other males. However, the Germanic historian Folke Strom says that ergi refers to male practitioner of seidr - that it was both the passive role in sodomy & the receptive relationship to the gods was what caused a man to be looked upon, or identify himself as ergi. Morever, in the case of Loki, it is this ‘impregnation’ which has given birth to Sleipnir, Odinn’s eight-legged steed. Loki is interesting in this respect, as the ambiguous relationship between male-oriented and female-oriented magics are most obvious in him.

Why Loki pulls patricide.

Odin discovered a baby, Laufey's son Loki, amongst the wreckage of the castle, and made the decision to raise him as his own. Laufey had kept Loki hidden as he was ashamed that Loki had been born a runt.

It was later retconned that Loki had been a child, rather than a baby, when Laufey was killed. The day prior to the battle, Loki had attempted to inform him of an opportunity to stealthily kill Odin prior to the battle. Laufey struck Loki for calling him a coward. The next day, after the fateful battle and Odin's claiming of Loki as a son, Laufey was left wounded, but alive. A version of Loki from the future, who had traveled back in time to alter events, proceeded to decapitate him, stating that Laufey would never strike him again. He also made Odin adopt him.

=====================================

Then we got the unused portion of the script ( Thor movie )

                     LAUFEY           Tell me why I shouldn't kill you.                          LOKI           I've come alone and unarmed.                          LAUFEY           To what end?                          LOKI           To make you another proposition.                          LAUFEY

                    (REALIZING)           So you're the one who let us into           Asgard.                          LOKI           You're welcome.                          LAUFEY           My men are dead, and I have no           Casket. You are a deceiver.           Laufey lashes out, grabs Loki around the throat, but Loki           calmly stands his ground.                          LOKI           You have no idea what I am.           The blueness spreads across his face, as Laufey and the           guards stare in shock. Loki grins.           LOKI (CONT'D)           Hello, Father.           Laufey releases him. Loki's body turns back to normal.           Intrigued, Laufey sizes up his son.                                    4th BLUE REVISIONS 03-26-10 76A.                          LAUFEY           Ah, the bastard son. I thought           Odin had killed you. That's what I           would have done. He's as weak as           you are.                          LOKI           No longer weak. I now rule Asgard,           until Odin awakens. Perhaps you           should not have so carelessly           abandoned me.           This gives Laufey pause.                          LAUFEY           Or perhaps it was the wisest choice           I've ever made. I will hear you.

Loki and his legs.

Loki grabby hands his thigh - he was doing this even before Thor stood up.

Odin PASSES OUT - Loki is afraid to touch him - He begins to manhandle his own leg.

Loki's about to get a reminder about WHY HE'S ON EARTH.  He's grabbing his leg here too.

----------------

In short:

I noticed that TWICE when Loki was about to do something he doesn’t like or is terrified of, dreading, or having an extreme case of the ANGST, he was grabbing at his legs in some manner.

I'd figure it would be better his legs than him...fondling a bunch of daggers.
