A Shadowy Trip to The Past.

In a realm beyond sight, The sky shines gold, not blue, There, the Triforce's might Makes mortal dreams come true ------------------------ I had to combine 8 pieces of The Triforce... --------------------------------------------------- Why did I ever bother coming online? Internet... communities... games... why even bother with the internet in the first place. I had it for several years , I think we had gotten the web around 1994 when I was young, I was 8...I never had interest in it other than to look at pictures of unicorns. lol.

Then...1998 happened...I was just 12 years old and I remembered the commericals, I saw it only ONCE, forgot about it and would have rampant dreams, visualizing Impa and Zelda on horseback, fleeing Hyrule Castle. I remember seeing Ganondorf and just WTFing loudly I didn't know why I was seeing such a thing in my dreams.

I couldn't put my finger on it at that time and I think it was around March of 1998...I got my hands on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.(GOLD CART) I played and was wowed all over again. I remember playing Zelda on the NES. I couldn't make sense of OOT...I wanted more....  I HAD TO FIND OTHER FANS.  I don't know... The Ocarina of Time changed me. It made me feel that I was emerged with the enviorment. -------------------------- I hung out at HTLOZ. Then the other sites.. The Deku Tree, North Castle, The Desert Colossus and then there was this one site where it was just LOADED with fanfiction and had midi to go with the stories or something, it was awesome.

HTLOZ used to have a chat, an applet with something called chatzone.de ( which is what it is known now) back then I would just plop down in a room called #Zelda_Chat. I would visit that place with  my friend that had a goofy SN: Epona_Asskicker. LOL wtf.  I miss her.  I know I floated around Ganon's Tower... I can't remember much.  I was at most forums under the username: Erisa.  I remember the chaos of  the Triforce rumors and Arianana or something... I would then spend a lot of time at The Odyessy of Hyrule. I feel so old now.  Yeah, I was there when it all started...It was only around 2000 I got disheartened by MOST ( NOT ALL) of the Zelda fan base, to describe the folks as hateful would be a tragic understatement.

Ocarina of Time opened my mind a bit back then, to art, to the written word, to adventure, to overcome challenges. I found myself relating to Link in many ways. Although I had many games back then ( I still do) I didn't get very inspired.. the way OOT made me. It was a world to escape into for a while. I remember relaxing  a lot while fishing...listening to the SFX. When the rumors of the next zelda game was coming out, oh man, the insanity. I had no idea what  kind of amazing trip Majora's Mask would be.

I guess I am done bashing my head against these old memories, most were good, thankfully. I feel so old. ---------------------- In the beginning amidst the darkness of eternal space, from a distant nebula three goddesses decended upon a formless choatic waste of a world. Din, the goddess of power forged the mountains and great plains from the firey bowels of desolation and separated the waters of the sky and between the land. Farore engendered living inteligence upon the land with many creature of varied kind, male and female they were. Nayru with wisdom brought the order of law and harmony upon nature and set into motion the everlasting cycle of birth, life, death, and afterlife and these three created the unification of cosmic balance. Before these beautiful goddesses traveled onward to create anew thier masterwork they bestowed a manifestation of their essence within a mighty artifact called the Triforce, a object that would be sought by many and attained by only one. The Triforce took its place within it's heavenly annex within a Sacred Realm where the spirits roam free. And so began the "Odyssey of Hyrule." ~ - The Book of Mudora, The Early Times, chap 1, v. 1 - 6 =============================== If you seek to open the Gate The Key you seek is shadowed fate. In the secrets that lie beneath the ground. Is where the wisdom required is found. To find the third force of power, First you must seek the sacred flower. When the three gather all in one place. Then you shall see the sacred one's face. On to the realm through the gates you pass. Before you will stand a magnificent mass. Three stone structures with names familiar to you. The names of the gods, Din... Farore... and Nayru...
