Since I didn't have any time for myself in the weekend I decided to compensate myself this evening and finished the inking, HAH!

...And I'm really tempted to leave this without text. I wonder how much it makes sense though. I guess I sleep on it. (and I can't believe I'm sleepy already, whyyyyy)

Anyway, the small one is baby Kikka. There is also Houmura the family guard dog, mommy Sasagi, daddy Tadao and a random villiger guy.

It's the first panel of a comic page I started to work on (FINALLY!!!) Baby Kikka gets introduced to the family dog, Houmura.

Sasagi and Tadao, Kikka's parents. Well sasagi doesn't always approve Tadao's methods and ideas and she is rather vocal on that~

GOSH, I tried SAI today, AKJGDHGAFST, the LINES!!! Stabilizer tool is such a wonderful thing - first time that I feel as confident, comfortable with digital inking as traditional inking. *__* Well I didn't get to colours yet, I was too much occupied with the joy of being able to do architecture with FREEHAND by using stabilizer (kinda abusing it hehe) and the rotation option~ But too sleepy to express my joy over it, bed time I guess...

Incredibly sleepy, haven't slep much in the past days. But needed mah colour-dose for today. I find it VERY relaxing to paint with this simple brush I created for myself, without caring much about the outcome, without expecting myself to create anything awesome.

It was a sketch from 2011. I wonder if you figured what season it is, care to guess the month? The pict takes place when Kikka talked to his father for the last time, not long before the war against the emperor was over, not long before Kuroneko was appointed to be the shougun, not long before my story actually starts.

HAH, finally I quick-fixed this piece. Times like this I realize how much more I have to learn, uh huh...

Anyway, I wanted this to be my next personal calender page so I printed it and sticked to the wall. Colours make me happy. ^^

Autumn tale

Yeah, it's not a Halloween image. It is Day of the Deads here already. And almost all the characters here are already dead when the actual story starts, present time, it is just some happy moments of the past. It's Kikka's family.

Tadao (father), Yuuna (sister), Ichiro, Kintaro (brothers), Kikka (the little one) and Sasagi (the mother).

I imagine the scene to be a warm, late autumn time with colourful fallen leaves everywhere. Nostalgic for me. I hope I can colour tomorrow.
