PAT NAPAT JINDAPAT BEING THE BESTEST BOI ON EARTH.

Why? You may ask.

Honestly, this is the exact moment I gave Pat my entire heart. It was on this scene I fell in love with this character, and you know why?

Because in these very short 20 seconds, Ohm is doing SUCH an amazing job. The thing is, we all know bad buddy has used every single shitty trope in BL and made it better. The “I’m straight but only gay for him” was one of them, and because of it, they had Pat having a crush on Ink.

BUT HEAR ME OUT.

In many other BL’s, the supposedly “straight” fella somehow GETS the girl and only then realizes he isn’t really into her, right? And somehow, that SORT OF happens here, right?

Well. Yes and no.

The thing is, Pat IS into her. At this point, he IS into her. Look at those eyes. Look at the SWEETNESS Ohm is portraying while staring at her. Ink is not a cover up. Ink isn’t an excuse, she isn’t the girl that meddles between them.

Look at Pat’s face. Ink is VERY SPECIAL. And it IS true that Pat later on realizes his feelings are not the same. But it’s not because he stops being into her, it’s because he fell in love with Pran.

And you know what’s the best part??? Pat doesn’t need to “get her” to realize his true feelings.

But he’s still the sweetest, having his puppy crush love for the girl he has always liked. And he did like her. He truly liked her and NEVER USED HER AS A COVER UP.

DO YOU EVEN REALIZE HOW INCREDIBLE THAT IS.

I just love this scene. Pat is just SO SWEET. The way he looks at her with so much tenderness, and how sweet and respectful he is towards her.

Ohm killed it here. He is a master. He is THE BEST. Making me fall in love with his characters in less than 20 seconds.

Ohm deserves everyone to stand up and applaud him and his talent.

I Know why Wai dropped the curtain

So we all agree we don't really like Wai very much for what he did and that we (Pran) deserve an apology. I also screamed and shouted and did a post cursing him, okay?

Okay. That being said, I believe there is a particular scene in Bad Buddy ep 10 people are just overlooking.

I mean this one right here.

Cause. I don't think people really understand. Or they do, and don't say anything, so here I am. Lol.

Do people know how important this is? We have this male character who is pursuing this pretty girl, but he's far from the toxic male usually showed in BL. The kind of male that can't take a hint, can't take no for an answer, hits on the girl until she "gives in" or "stops playing hard to get" He's not doing any of that. Instead, he is:

ONE; Being cautious and careful, not wanting to overstep, and respecting her space.

TWO; NOT BEING AN OBLIVIOUS FUCKER BLINDED BY HETERONORMATIVITY. Wai not only realizes there is something going on between the two girls, but also sees it as something ENTIRELY POSSIBLE. I'm pretty sure I have never seen a male "straight" character in a BL drama or any Asian drama for the matter, having this kind of open mentality. When Ink acts all protective over Pa, Wai doesn't pass it on as "a big sis being protective"; he sees romantic feelings between them as a possibility, something we didn't get in a BL until now. (Or maybe we did and I don't know about it, please let me know!)

So.

I think it's really important, and it sets up a better future for BL's, to have this kind of behavior that doesn't highlight LGBTQ+ like it's something we should be paying attention to, or something that's a big deal. Something entirely normal, as it is.

I believe this is why Wai dropped the curtain without any care in the world. And also, cause he was angry. He was very hotheaded and angry, and that's the only burden he should carry.

Cause being gay bi pan whatever, it's not a big deal. It's not even a deal. It is nothing.

Yes, what he did was WRONG, YES, he needs to apologize; but it was wrong because Pran SAID he was scared of people finding out, not because Pran was GAY and was scared of being outed.

Well, don't know if you all agree with me or not, just thought I'd give this one to Wai cause I wanna like him :c

About how Pran’s instant reaction is to put himself between Pat and his father??

Do you even understand what it means for this boy who does everything in his power to avoid being involved in chaos, who hates creating conflict, to develop the instinct to take a blow just to protect the one he loves?

Cause Pran isn’t thinking here. He is a planner, a calculative person, a thinker. But here he does none of that. He doesn’t because all he can see is Pat in harms way. And he absolutely cannot have it. So he stops thinking.

I think its beautiful, cause there are several instances in which both of them react in an out-of-character way that reflect on the other’s behavior.

And one of them is this one. Pran, acting impulsively, not thinking of the consequences of putting himself in front of the rage of Pat’s father.

And yeah, he isn’t forcefully putting himself there nor trying to fight back. He’s such a passive, gentle person, and wants them to be calm, and talk this through.

He does that but still puts himself on the line.

Simply because he doesn’t want Pat to get hurt. For him, he is able to stop being the cautious, person of order he is.

Its so simple yet so wonderful, and I think about this every single day

also watching that and coming back to tumblr and instagram is one hell of a trip cause my heart is torn into pieces but then bam, there’s bad buddy still existing and that can be so personal-

It is called FORESHADOWING. And I believe P’Aof has shown us over and over he is A GREAT director and KNOWS what he’s doing.

Bad buddy is a queer show where homosexuality IS NOT THE ISSUE. AND ITS BEAUTIFUL.

IT IS AMAZING. The script is AMAZING.
