I hate how they downplayed the horror of Moreau's lab in this episode

The horrid scream of one of the many children there is what I felt set the tone straight away while reading the manga

And probably the beginning of a wake up call for Mikhail

All these scenes showcasing the torture that Mikhail endured, while it would not have been pleasant to watch should still have been there to make us feel more.

And his thoughts "Why? Wasn't all the pain supposed to be over?" He thought he was safe just like Roland told him we was. Only for the pain and suffering to continue in tenfolds "I don't want it to hurt, I hate pain" seeing these adults that is meant to protect him as a child abusing him and looking like monsters or "Devils" like his mother did when she beat him up.

THEY REMOVED NR.70 ! A probably important character for the future plot which makes me all the more believe the animes really gonna end here...

And again something that sets the eerie tone of the hidden lab, removed.

The fact that injecting the blood of the blue moon vampire into all those children before them, killed them and probably re-wrote them right away. And from the looks of it was insainly painful even making some of them becoming a monster of sort (the bald man looking thing in the upper corner). Shows just how potent the blood of the blue moon vampire truly is and how "unnatural" his experiment really is. Its NOT meant for humans point blank!

Yes perfect how he volunteered to become a part of the Blue Moon Clan (unknowingly ofc) and how destiny brought this upon him. He just might have not become Vanitas if Moreau had just chosen to use Mikhail that day, perhaps even No.70. If Vanitas hadn't got so attached to his "little brother" to begin with and Luna had come to the rescue of Mikhail last minute and Vanitas managed to escape from the room he was kept in after she destroyed the lab. If only he wasn't "A very kind child". Maybe he would just have remained "xxxx"
