Mirror Set for The Sims 2

These are 4to2 conversions from Wondymoon, Art Vitalex, Hydrangea, Simmer Kate and Sims41ife, low poly. All recolors included. The heart mirror is also a neon.

so i guess the existential dread was correct.

anyway, here's the silly Creatures. they were made by soloriya and converted 4t2 by deatherella. i recolored them with nyren's kosmik colors, minus space debris, plus pooklet's firework and flash powder. the eyes are a glass doll eye texture. mesh is included.

Today's my birthday :D I've queued up a couple uploads for the occasion, here's the first one!

I made some silly and colorful screen recolors for emotive computer-head sims using Jane's recolors of Digi's edit of Biohole's original mesh as the base for these and just changed the screen, please grab the mesh there or from Digi's post and get their recolors if you don't have them already!

Motel Mermaid Double Bed and Ophelia Beddings for The Sims 2

The bed is a 4to2 conversion from Sims41ife, medium poly. The beddings are made by me and can be used on any bed. The bed is slaved to my previous Mermaid Single Bed, so you need it to use the double one in your game.

hellow, new update, for now this is gonna look a bit more like a random thoughts / gameplay simblr...

ts2 is running amazing on fedora 41 - i'm legit not getting ANY pink even with a full stress test of high lot imposters, a TON of high-poly cc, etc! LITERALLY my dream!

but, unfortunately, i haven't got simpe, milkshape, etc. to run yet. which i've been procrastinating for some time due to lack of tutorials but also laziness, i'm liking my new schedule and i can finally enjoy this game the way will wright intended 🩷

A FINAL UPDATE FOR MY PINK SOUP EXPERIMENTATION

at this point, i have tested sims 2 on the latest windows 11 on various other PCs in my house, with both AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards. there's barely any difference. i still am experiencing major crashing and pink soup issues on systems with an RTX 3060, RX 580, GTX 1660 Ti, and of course my 7900 XTX. dxvk, new drivers, literally everything great minds like @osab and @brandinotbroke and many others have suggested has done nothing.

BUT!

at their suggestion, i tried Linux. Fedora 41 as i said above.

AND ALL MY PROBLEMS HAVE GONE AWAY.

other games are now running smoothly too with 0 errors and crashing; of course i don't have access to the same apps and ease of comfort as i did on windows, but hot damn, i can play sims 2! with and without cc! again!!

i am also not the only one, funnily enough! in our tests this massive pink flashing issue seems to affect not just my PC, but many others who have both NVIDIA or AMD graphics cards. the only link we have found... is windows 11.

with Linux it just all goes away!

so tl;dr;

IF YOU ARE HAVING PINK FLASHING ISSUES ON YOUR WINDOWS 11, IT IS LIKELY NOT YOUR PC, IT IS AN ISSUE WITH THE LATEST WINDOWS UPDATE!

so do NOT go out buying yourself an RTX GPU or a new CPU, it is just NOT going to help! don't bother with trying to reinstall windows because literally it has done nothing for me.

our current theory is that something is screwed with the latest update. in directx, in texture memory allocation - literally do not know. all we know is that a different OS just - fixes it. literally and figuratively like magic.

if you're willing to learn how to install Linux and potentially a new SSD, go for it! hopefully in a few days me or someone else will have a tutorial out.

Trying the flashlight filter from Reshade in The Sims 2. Among other things, you can set at what distance (from the camera) objects get illuminated. But this function only works when I disable reflections, otherwise it's too glitchy. The shape of the light is always round, it doesn't adapt to different surfaces. I imagine that would be difficult to achieve.

I also added another filter to make everything darker.

Current Mods:

Replace old catnip toy

Another mod from @belladovah's wishlist. 🙂

This mod adds new interaction to the Kitty Kraze Katnip Cat Toy called "Replace". It's available for teens and older Sims on old catnip toys, next to the "clean up" option.

When replacing old catnip toys, Sims will buy a new one (and place it where the old one was placed) and throw away the old one.

This mod incorporates @gummilutt's Catnip toy cleanup enabled for teens and elders, so Gummi's mod is reduntant if you use mine - delete it if you want to use mine.

This mod adds two BHAVs of group 0x7FDFAFDB and instances 0x0000100D and 0x0000100E. It also adds Text String of group 0x7FDFAFDB and instance 0x00000081 (adult animations).

This mod doesn't affect custom catnip toys. I updated my catnip sack and yarn ball as a cat toy to add the new "replace" action.

Extras for the 4t2 mini mart

im sick atm but here's a few extras for the mini mart. sorry the preview is so lazy lol i am in so much pain

this set was neat as some had the same mesh so many textures are on the same mesh. things are repo'd where they need to and polycounts are under 1200 polys, with the lowest being around 30 polys. choose between smaller txtr sizes or bigger txtr sizes - remember to choose only one!
