goodbye OUAT

I don't even watch the show anymore but I'm just so fucking disappointed and sad at how it has turned out. I've grown so invested in Emma and Regina and Mulan and Belle and Rumple; my love for them runs so deep that it physically hurts to see what the show has done to them. Also, being a shipper of Swan Queen, tagging along like this is very emotionally draining. OUAT's first (few?) seasons were extremely good, back when the plot holes were finite, minor characters' background contributed & not deterred the central stories, and the women on the show were their own people and if at all, had sensible love stories. Goodbye for good, OUAT. I'll still be reblogging things that I like about it and watching from the sidelines (tumblr), but I have close to no hope for it now. I just hope it ends soon.

newfound Eva (re)obsession makes me tempted to pick up Penny Dreadful where I left off but then I just remember the reason why I stopped watching: Eva carried the entire show on her shoulders, and the creators knew that. So it was painful to see them *use her talent to create storylines; how they'd afflict Vanessa with some further emotional trauma or random romance because they knew Eva would perform it powerfully enough for it to be exciting. :/ ugh. But to be fair I stopped quite early, so I'd appreciate all your opinions - has it gotten better?

AU Sherlock Holmes

Eva Green as S. Holmes Kelly Reilly as J. Watson Natalie Dormer as J. Moriarty

1888, Jack the Ripper terrorizes the streets of London. Scotland Yard, desperate to catch the killer, reluctantly consults with the infamous detective, Sherlocke Holmes and her stalwart colleague, the pioneering doctor, Joanna Watson. Sherlocke delves into the underbelly of London, and her curiosity is ignited when she discovers that the Ripper may not be a serial killer at all, but merely the servant of a greater master.  Everywhere Sherlocke turns, the name ‘Moriarty' whispers through the blood-soaked streets. She soon becomes embroiled in a cat-and-mouse game with the mysterious entity that is Moriarty, a game that may end up costing not only the soul of London itself, but also her own.     [summary by Ari]
