Everything we do to work toward justice for nonhumans is, in a way, political. The choices we make, the positions we hold are all reflections of how we would like to see the world work, of how we would like to see others treated.
At Animal Place, we hold the view that nonhuman oppression is unjust, that depriving other animals of their very lives, bodies, and families is wrong and harmful. We believe in equality and justice for our fellow humans. We do not subscribe to a set of beliefs that places one group of humans above another, and we believe this has no place in the animal rights movement.
Let’s not reverse progress. Let’s not be afraid. Let’s make this world safe, compassionate, and just for nonhumans and humans alike.
