Jazzy (left) and Magnolia aren’t so sure about us meeting them way back in their pasture. They didn’t turn down the back and neck rubs from us, though.
Jeffrey, rescued from a goat dairy farm, can rest easy knowing that for the rest of his life he will never be exploited, commodified, or mistreated.

Wilbur is a Friend, Not Food
At 9-years-old, Wilbur is a sweet, sweet pig. Can’t you just tell by his eyes?
It’s hard to believe that 110 million pigs are killed yearly in the US for their flesh — at only 6 months of age. Go vegan to help stop this violence.

During her internship, Eden participated in our most recent rescue of 2,000 hens from an egg farm on July 3rd. These hens had been living in wire battery cages for the first 2 years of their lives and were scheduled to be killed.
Describing what it was like to witness these hens’ newfound liberation and safety upon arrival at Animal Place, Eden says, “I truly had the best time just sitting in the hens’ barns with them watching them get to be real chickens for the first time in their lives.”
These three rabbits were rescued from a research lab in 2014. Enduring regular, painful experiments before coming to Animal Place, these rabbits are victims of cosmetics that were needlessly tested on animals.
Rabbits are commonly used in labs to test the safety of makeup, hygiene products, household cleaning products, and medications.
Condemn animal cruelty through your consumer choices. Be sure to only purchase products that clearly state that they have not been tested on animals.
Belle, the Sweetheart
Belle came from a small, family-owned goat dairy farm, which had milked her past the point at which her child would naturally wean. As a result, Belle arrived to Animal Place this past April with an udder so full of milk that she was uncomfortable.
Remember: #NotYourMomNotYourMilk. Ditch dairy for the sake of individuals like Belle.

Magnolia Gets to Live
Magnolia was born on a dairy farm as a twin to a male calf. Because she was exposed to her brother’s hormones, she is unable to get pregnant and therefore unable to produce milk, making her useless to the dairy industry.
At two years old, Magnolia is still a teenager and far from full-grown. Yet if she hadn’t been rescued, she would have already been killed for “cheap dairy beef.”
Luckily, she has found liberation and will continue to live out her natural lifespan of 15-17 years at our sanctuary.
Go vegan to help the billions of individuals not as lucky as Magnolia.
Such a beauty, safe at sanctuary...
This hen is of the less than 2% of hens born into the egg industry who has not had a portion of her beak painfully removed—a practice the industry calls “debeaking”.
She does not have to endure lifelong chronic pain in her beak nor struggle with eating and grooming. She is also safe at our sanctuary.
Without your help, we wouldn’t be able to do our life-saving work.
Verna suffered from an extremely difficult and painful labor when she was about a year old. She was being exploited for weed abatement along with a herd of other intact male and female goats, and she was was left struggling in labor for 18 hours without any medical attention. The farmer was willing to pay for someone to shoot Verna, but not save her.
Fortunately, a compassionate neighbor stepped in and contacted us. Verna underwent a C-section, but her baby sadly did not survive.
Show Verna your love by sponsoring her today at http://animalplace.org/donate-sponsor-an-animal/!
