AnEveryDayThing, a hotel car park and COVID-19
Shortly before 8am, I took the photo for day 633, a close-up of a bush in a hotel car park in Warwickshire, England. Over the prior 632 days I’ve been fortunate to live in, work in and visit a number of different places so inspiration for photo of the day has never been a problem. By the end of day 633, like millions of others I was social distancing at home where I’m going to be for the foreseeable future.
What to do with AnEveryDayThing therefore? I’ve thought about stopping but we cannot just stop everything. We must maintain some sort of normality. I’ve thought about turning into something more autobiographical but I always said that was not its point. I thought about making more documental. Life in lockdown but that felt too depressing. I therefore concluded to continue. It’s going to be even more of a challenge now: to find something every day, both different and inspiring, a short radius from where I live or indeed, going forward, quite possibly from inside where I live. Plus a shout-out to any follower who can work out my exact location!
