Dear Leonard,
To look life in the face, always, to look life in the face and to know it for what it is. At last to know it, to love it for what it is, and then, to put it away. Leonard, always the years between us, always the years. Always the love. Always the hours.

A woman’s whole life in a single day. Just one day. And in that day her whole life. The Hours (2002)
To me, Julianne Moore IS a sentient painting.
Agreed. The woman is a goddess bound in human form.
Currently watching The Hours. I love this film, this book, Virginia, Nicole as Virginia... hmmm. This may make my melancholy mood worse, I'm just indulging it, but I'm masochistic that way.
It's the tortured, cynical, conflicted artist in me whose desire to believe in life seems to go against her own philosophy.
