I am back and so excited to present my new story to you.
While working on a story for my NaNoWriMo, this story let me finish the event successfully, but it was also the story I was never meant to write.
He wished he could have kissed him—he wished he could have known, for certain, that a kiss would convey the deep stunned emotion he felt for this shaking man. It was a pure, unadulterated feeling, which existed only by and for itself. There was only the immediacy of knowing that Bucky, so unthinkingly generous, so heartbreakingly brave, was absolutely worthy of love—and so Steve loved him almost despite himself, like some kind of physics law, like air rushing in to fill a vacuum.

So, the original plan was to do dystopias and apocalypses as the next theme. I actually started that post. It's sitting in my drafts. But then between work, moving, and other real-life stuff, I sort of ran out of days in May. Now it's mid-June. And since it is mid-June -- and since part of the whole point of these rec lists is the theming -- I thought I'd go for Pride recs instead.
We'll do dystopias in July.
I could have done a lot of different rules/qualifiers with this theming, but, for this time/post I went with, "actively has sexuality themes as a decently large plot point." I ended up with 12 fics.

Steve knew he should call his wife and tell her his business trip ended a day earlier than originally planned, that he should make his way home to spend it with her.
That’s what a good husband would do.
But in that moment he didn’t care much about being a good husband, not after the grief Peggy gave him about the trip in the first place. Apparently his work schedule was an issue for her, which was almost funny considering she was the reason he worked so much in the first place.
He had actually worked less at the start of their marriage, before her expectations became clear.
