stevebucky aesthetics - before and after
JESUS, THIS SCENE. JUST LEAVE ME HERE TO DIE OVER THIS.
Steve was so stoic when he asked, expression and voice both firm. He’d emotionally distanced himself from the situation, prepared himself for the answer to be no.
But then Bucky answers. And it’s not just – it’s not just a yeah, Steve, you persistent fucker, I remember you.
He proves it. Starts by talking about Steve’s mom and maybe everyone would know her name but not everyone would have that fond smile while they said it. A familiar smile, I’m sure - maybe a little smaller, a little more guarded and hesitant, but still familiar - because you can’t tell me that Bucky didn’t love Sarah Rogers like she was his own mother.
And then he says something more personal. Something that probably wasn’t in the history books. Newspaper in Steve’s shoes. That fond smile gets bigger; a memory - a dozen, maybe - about this same thing. About Steve.
And after that – well, Steve hadn’t prepared himself for that. His expression just breaks, crumbles into something that’s half-joy, half-pain. He’s so goddamn happy and relieved, because that? That’s his best friend. He has a piece of his family back.
Maybe a little rougher, a little broken, but that’s still Bucky Barnes and Steve’s gonna do everything in his power to protect him.
All the kudos to Sebstan and CEvans for acting the fuck outta this scene but also fuck everything for giving me these feels.
this isn’t even the set of lines IN THE MOVIE. the scene in the movie has “which Bucky am I talking to”, this is the set of lines from the first trailer…
He found his kitten in the rain.
Surprise
Warmth
“Promise me you won't get injured again, or take me with you.”
Close up:
Some unreleased pieces in my artbook, I totally forgot about posting them...
Steve never went to the war.
Bucky never fell off the train and never was captured by Hydra.
He came back to Steve in 1945.
They lived in Brooklyn happily ever after.
And that’s it.
The day him came back.
When you’re close up, give me the shivers

A.N: This was gonna be a different fic. Then it was going to be a short blurb. Then it turned into a ficlet. I blame @late-to-the-party-81 😂💖
Summary:
Steve’s been a professional photographer for over a decade. His work has been featured in countless magazines, on billboards, in fashion articles and photography books. He’s shot some of the most beautiful, most interesting, most powerful people in the world. He’s won numerous awards, is sought after by so many for his work. It means his schedule is fully booked, like, always. It also means he earns enough money to afford a gorgeous loft apartment that can easily double as a studio when he wants to.
Steve’s mostly unfazed by the supposed glamor of his job or the world he inhabits. He can see how some of the models he’s photographed represent some sort of beauty ideal, even if he doesn’t necessarily always agree. He’s not actually always a fan of the circles he works in — because of the beauty ideals, but also because there’s some sort of toxicity in it sometimes, one he tries to avoid. It’s made him somewhat of a recluse, at times, which in turn has caused people to speculate a lot about him — and his personal life.
For some reason, there’s this assumption that he probably has hooked up with some of his models. Sure, he’s found some of his models attractive, but he’s never pursued anything. He’s aware of how he himself looks and he’s had models make a pass at him, or ask him to go out on a date after they finished shooting, but he’s always declined. Steve doesn’t mix business with pleasure. He’s seen how that goes. It’s a rule he put in place for himself long ago and it’s worked out fine.
He’s going to have to break that rule.

Olympic ice dancers Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes have never gotten along. Closeted Steve is in a showmance with his partner Maria as America’s sweethearts, while Bucky and Natasha are the lethal Russian pair whose technical mastery on ice is unrivaled. Now they will all be traveling around America on the Stars on Ice tour for the next two months, which sets Steve on edge in ways he didn’t quite expect.
Galks and I are so proud to finally reveal our 2022 @stuckybangs collaboration. This truly has been a labor of love. I am so happy to have been able to have worked with the incredible Galks on this project.

“I like it,” Carol snaps her fingers and points in Bucky’s direction. “Let’s give it a deadline. How long do you think you’ll need to get someone to break up with you, Barnes? 10 days?” This actually sounds kind of fun. It’s been a while since Bucky has felt this kind of excitement towards any of his work assignments. “How to lose a guy in 10 days,” he says with a bit of wonder. “How to lose a guy in 10 days,” Carol agrees, sharing a wicked smile with him. “I won’t need all 10, though,” he tells her with certainty. “I’m sure I can scare him off way sooner than that.”
