Bucky didn’t know that fame would treat him like this. Well, deep down maybe he knew that running away from his hometown to become a star would bring him more headaches than joy, but the thing is that he did it anyway. And there is no turning back at this point.
Now he’s facing the third season renewal of the show he has been leading for the past five years, followed at every step he takes by the rumours and lies that chase celebrities every day. He knows he’s leaving the show, and he can’t wait to get to know what else the press can make up about why he’s leaving the Red Guardian production.
With the premier of the previous season and having John Walker joining the cast as a regular, the rumours had been dancing around whether the allegedly romantic relationship Bucky has with his co-star Ava is in danger, or if this new addition would only get in the way of Bucky keeping the lead of the show.
It may not help that the three of them hang out together all the time, behind and in front of the cameras. Between telling jokes among takes, going to the same clubs on the weekends and arriving at the premiers they are invited to sharing a limo, it’s not strange that a strong and special bond has been born between the three actors.
They have come back home from the studio together more times that Bucky remembers too; first to mess with the paparazzi fighting over taking a picture and seeing who was holding whose hand or who was kissing who, and then just because a sleepover at John’s place was more exciting than coming back to an empty home. Even if that means having Walker dozing off the moment they turn on the TV, Ava cuddling to him the moment he does, and Bucky setting up the temporary bed by himself.
