Have you read "always seeking however scary" by ShowMeAHero? I love the element of that one of Izzy trying and struggling to talk about his feelings because that's the "rules of the relationship" and his "duty" now. Really good portrayal of the character and his repression i thought.
omg yessss, that's such a good fic! the way it's written is so lovely, and i love the struggle and hesitation in every line as he tries to learn how to ask for things he wants.
i really liked the line "Who the fuck smiles when they look at him? He hasn’t earned fucking smiles." bc again it's just so!!! izzy!!! the repression and the self-denial is portrayed wonderfully. and then when he manages to be vulnerable and admit that he's just lonely! ugh. i love it. i love reading fics abt this poor man struggling to communicate and find his place in the shifting dynamic aboard the revenge. it's so good
