Kaji: Indeed, I don’t hear about that very often. So, I think it’d be great if the audience could develop some interest in the Japanese language through anime, and further on became interested in Japan. Although English is the lingua franca of the world now, together with the effort from us voice actors, it would be a pleasure to deliver the interesting aspects and the complexity of Japanese “aurally”. I think it has an appeal that’s different from text or visuals. Not only our voice performance, in combination with other elements such as music and sound effects, we can make the animations even more three-dimensional and “unrealistic” in a good sense…
