Thinking about I, Carrion by Hozier and BBC Merlin and I'm gonna sob y'all.

Merlin is just such a tragic character it makes me cry. Thinking about him going crazy waiting for Arthur to come back, talking to himself and seeing him around corners and hearing his voice, thinking every tragedy in the world must be the one that will bring his love back to him and being disappointed every time. Wanting to give up and pass on but needing to be there for him when he returns.

it's so crazy to me the fact that someone wrote lines such as "do you know how to walk on your knees? would you like me to help you?" and "I could take you apart with one blow" and the direct answer to that "I could take you apart with less than that"

then someone reviewed these lines and someone approved them. then bradley and colin had to read them, decorate them, and then act them while many were around watching and filming them delivering those lines. and someone else also had to watch those scenes again on post production.

and it aired on the very first episode of the very first season of this show. mind-blowing.

Arthur reads a lot about magical curses and thinks it's funny to pretend something happened to him. A part of him is curious to see what Merlin will do, if Arthur acts strangely.

Several, very unexpected things happen a lot quicker than Arthur would have guessed.

1. Merlin seems to notice that Arthur's acting strange immediately. What Arthur thought would take at least a week, took Merlin less than a day.

2. Merlin doesn't seem to have a problem with illegal research

3. Merlin covers for Arthur and does not inform the King

4. Merlin is willing to ask druids or magicians for help

5. Merlin is actually strong enough to manhandle Arthur to keep him from running off

6. Merlin seems ready for murder in order to protect Arthur

7. Merlin seems used to it all

8. When Merlin finally uses magic, Arthur isn't even surprised anymore.

9. It's actually kind hot

Imagine Merlin, Arthur and the Knights caught by witch who want to do a rituals but :

They search for a virgin's blood and Arthur and the Knights think "virgin=never had sex" meanwhile the witch search someone's who was never used in a blood ritual (and who is better for this than Knights in a kingdom who forbid magic?)

Anyway at first they try Merlin and it doesn't work and Arthur is like "there is no way" meanwhile Gwaine is like "Merlin and there I thought you were a fair maiden 😔... 😌~😉" then they grap Gwaine and... it works lmao

Anyway, all of them get out globally without getting harmed but they are all looking at Gwaine like "You know...you don't have to pretend to be experienced. It's fine to be a virgin at 30 years old"

Meanwhile, Arthur is fuming in the background because what do you mean he didn't know Merlin had someone >>>>:(
