That's a big question! It's going to depend a lot on both the disability in question as well as the personality and preferences of the disabled person themselves. Visually impaired trainers may benefit from a guide Pokemon, often dog Pokemon like Growlithe or Fidough, that are trained to lead people around. Trainers with hearing impairments often adopt psychic-types such as Alakazam and Gardevoir, who can be effectively trained in the use of sign language in addition to their telepathic powers.

Fairy-types and grass-types are also common among disabled trainers, as their soothing powers can be a massive help for people with chronic pain and can also help to calm those experiencing panic attacks. Studies have shown that the presence of Pokemon like Chikorita and Bellossom tend to have a therapeutic effect for people nearby.

I've seen disabled trainers with just about every Pokemon imaginable, though. For instance, for ADHD trainers who struggle with setting routines, just having a Pokemon there to remind you when they want to be fed or go on a walk can provide some critical structure. The exact species doesn't particularly matter.
