Yesterday I had one of my most Rayla kinnie moments.

Since the very beginning, I found comfort in Rayla's character because I saw myself in her.
In 304, when Callum gave her the speech I remember tearing up thanks to how personal it felt.

Today I'm gonna reread Bloodmoon Huntress and tomorrow I'll start rewatching S1 and rereading the novelization
New headcanon 'cause I'm sad so this is gonna be sad:
The night before Rayla's parents left she hugged them for hours, crying in their arms and trying to take in every single detail of them and feeling an immense void in her chest and a knot in her throat.
Seriously it pisses me off so much some saying Rayla is ruined or OOC in arc 2‚ mostly because two reasons:
1- her character core was never about her physical strenght or being a badass. It was about self worth issues‚ love and opening about emotions. Seriously how do you watch the series and come to the conclusion that her being a "slay queen" is her biggest personality trait? She has always been an awkard disaster‚ just more open about it now. Also her strenght hasn't disappeared you know?
2- if you get angry at this kind of character development don't go around saying you want complex female characters. Just admit you want girlbosses that like breaking men's skulls‚ being sincere is not that hard.
Arc 2 Rayla is a blessing and some people don't deserve her (inside and outside of the show) and If I see more slandering comments in her next bday post I'm gonna get rabid btw
Also, Rayla is a character a lot of people can identify with because she's human, she makes mistakes and she needs to deal with the consequences that's not a bad character or even a bad person, that's a human being.
A while ago I saw a video on YT that said Rayla has become a plot device for Callum to get development as a character SORRY WHAT WAS THAT, that's one of the most sexiest comments I've seen. Rayla is literally a MC, she is her own person and has her own issues (as the series clearly shows). Callum nor Rayla should be reduced to their romantic relationship, take it from someone who loves Rayllum, Callum and Rayla have so much more to offer if people pay enough attention to the show.
I was rewatching TDP and in s3e6 Avizandum says to Viren and Harrow that he'll spare their life 'cause that day was a day of life
Avizandum: today is a special day. Today is a day of life.
Why would he say that? He could've avoided all those sentences and just said he'll forgive them 'cause he wasn't in the mood to kill.
But he emphasizes it's a day of life. What if Zym's egg was due to hatch on that day? The weather seemed stormy enough.
If Harrow and Viren had arrived at least a day after, I'm sure the story would've changed because maybe by then Zym would have been already born
And what if they even arrived a week later? Would The Dragon Guard still be there? I don't think so.
Lain tells Rayla they will return when the egg is hatched. They wouldn't need to stay longer.

Do you ever miss a character from a show but not like in the way that you want to rewatch the whole show because theres so much stuff going on and thats not what youre looking for but you miss your boy
