Last day on Earth - part 5
*One week later*
They decided they were all meeting at the Potter’s later that night to have dinner and relax a little. They hadn’t done it in a long time, and it would be good for them since all of them agreed they were too stressed lately, and it could help to remember how life was before they left Hogwarts.
Sirius and Remus had talked and managed to lighten the mood between them, which was a great thing, Sirius thought.
Remus had things to do during that day, but he promised he’d meet Sirius at James’ that night. Marlene had to go home but she would also meet them there later, and she promised she would take her mother’s pumpkin pie for dessert.
When she arrived home with the groceries early that evening, she noticed the front door was opened a little and found it odd.
Marlene left the groceries in the kitchen and went upstairs, finding it weird that the house was so silent. Her parents were usually loud people. As she was reaching the top of the staircase a terribly familiar laugh came from her parents' room. Marlene froze in place as she recognised Rosier’s voice:
