Re watching Tangled the series and why did Rapunzel turn on Varian that QUICK??? Like before he even attacked she called him “unstable” after he stole the flower just for wanting to save his father before Corona. It’s a HEALING FLOWER. WHAT DAMAGE COULD IT POSSIBLY DO??? He’s probably the only one who would have the skills to use it on the rocks anyway, ever think of that, Raps??? Nigel or whatever his stupid name is said he attacked her the night his father got trapped when he was literally BREAKING DOWN. He was BEGGING for her help and when he saw what happened to his dad he needed someone to blame. If you pay attention you see that he was LITERALLY GOING THROUGH THE STAGES OF GREIF. He just skipped straight over denial and hit anger hard. Also need I remind you that he was FOURTEEN when this happened. Did they really expect him to handle all this WELL??? I had a meltdown over a B on a project when I was fourteen, his father was potentially DYING in that rock and they were just like “but have you tried calming the frick down a bit, gosh you’re annoying for wanting your father to live, suck it up, kid” DOES ANYONE REMEMBER WHEN SHE SAID SHE NEVER EVER BREAKS PROMISES??? She had a kingdom to save, understood, but then once her kingdom was safe she didn’t even THINK to go check on Varian. It took a terribly disturbing nightmare for her to even remember him. Yeah she helped him in the end but it could’ve been way too late at that point. And SHE feels betrayed??? Someone get this kid some therapy, because idc how much better he is now, he’s gonna have some trust issues later.
LOOK AT HIM
Nigel really thinks a child begging not to be orphaned = attacking the princess
