Can I request a hero whose father is a villain? When the heo gets captured, the villain feels guilty when they see that their child expects to be tortured and killed, not knowing that the villain cares for them?
Hero was extra cautious as he tiptoed through the villain's base. He knew where the prisoners' room was, and he knew none of them deserved to be there.
How did he know this? Because his father had an off-limits room back at home that Hero meandered into.
What had been in his father's off-limits room? Monitors. Lots and lots of monitors.

While Hero's dad was gone one day, and while his ma was at work, he picked the lock to the room. He knew how to do this only after days of research and practice.
Imagine the scene during The Amazing Spiderman 2 when Peter Parker starts experimenting with making his webbing device. Lots of YouTube videos, a few mishappenings, and lots of caution.
Was caution needed for picking locks? You might not have thought so, but, well, Hero was clumsy to say the least. Not to mention his skin reacted allergically to metal- a contributing factor when trying to pick metal locks with other pieces of metal.
He managed somehow, though he almost wished he hadn't. There was a whole wall of screens, each one giving an image of mostly empty halls and empty rooms with nothing but more computers. Some rooms looked a little familiar. There was a kitchen, a cafeteria, and then...a- a weapons room. It was what Hero imagined an army artillery room might look like. But why was his dad watching a place like this?
The last screen was the worst of them all. Labeled at the bottom of the screen were the words "Interrogation Room". Hero swallowed. Now he really didn't understand why his father watched this stuff. There were actual people in there, each in tattered clothing, if they had clothing on at all. He felt wrong watching this, and he almost turned to investigate the rest of the room, but something- someone came into frame. His dad.
