This will be Seyfried's first marriage and the actor's second. Sadoski was previously married to Kimberly Hope, from whom he divorced in October 2015 after eight years.
Ethan Hawke and Amanda Seyfried have been confirmed to star in First Reformed, a project from writer-director Paul Schrader.
Currently in pre-production, the movie will tell the story of an ex-military chaplain (Hawke) —wrecked by grief over the death of his son— who befriends a member of his church (Seyfried) whose husband, a radical environmentalist, commited suicide.
Hawke will be seen next in Antoine Fuqua’s The Magnificent Seven, in Luc Besson’s Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets and in Brian Smrz’s thriller 24 Hours to Live. Seyfried will appear in Showtime’s upcoming Twin Peaks revival; she will also star alongside Shirley MacLaine’s in The Last Word, in Dito Montiel’s The Clapper, and in Andrew Niccol’s Anon.
Ed Helms and Amanda Seyfried are anchoring a new comedy called The Clapper said to be in the vein of The King of Comedy. This will be writer/director’s Dito Montiel’s next film, one that is a passion project for him as he is adapting from his own book of the same name. The Clapper is about a professional clapper for infomercials who gets plucked by a late night talk show host to be on his TV show. The notoriety that his 15 minutes of fame brings ends up costing him his job as well as a budding relationship with a girl who works at a gas station.
In psychological thriller Anon, Owen, so good recently as the drug-addled doctor in Cinemax’s The Knick for director Steven Soderbergh, plays a detective in a world with no privacy, ignorance or anonymity. All our lives are transparent, traceable and recorded by the authorities. It’s the end of crime, it seems. However, when Owen’s character stumbles on a young woman (Seyfried) with no digital footprint and invisible to the police, he discovers it may not be the end of crime but the beginning.
Seyfried also recently received critical praise for her starring role in her play The Way We Get By opposite Thomas Sadoski. She is currently in production on Mark Pellington’s The Last Word opposite Shirley MacLaine.

Amanda Seyfried (Les Miserables, Ted 2) and Theo James (The Divergent Series: Insurgent) are set to star in the supernatural thriller Black Lung, it was announced today by 2929 Productions and Emily Ziff and Sara Murphy of Cooper’s Town Productions. Seyfried plays Del, wife of a Utah coal miner (James) whose premonition moves her to save her husband just before an explosion in the mine traps all the other miners, an act that tests her marriage, puts her under suspicion of state officials tasked with the rescue, and stokes the resentment of all the other women in town. With time running out to save the entombed men, Del’s increasingly horrifying visions hint to something darker at play within the iconic mountain that looms over the plateau like an anvil, a darkness she comes to believe will consume them all.
