Lizardite is one of my many Houseki no Kuni OCs but I never really talk about him, even if I think his design is cool. Now it's his turn!

 He's a hunter and a fighter, and he protects the Village of the Gems from the races of wild aggressive animals that inhabit the Mountain Archipelago. He's quiet and efficient and has many "lizard-like" abilities like fast reflexes and... A tail?? But he loves to spend time with other warriors, especially the more cheerful ones like Crocoite and Hafnon. He protects the ones that need to go away from the safety of the Village (Orientite and Anyolite for the wood they need, Kupferblau for his maps, Shigaite, Carletonite and Wenerbaurite for their biology/topography/geology studies)

Diaboleite is the first and wildest of the three politician brothers- him, Yedlinite and Bideauxite.

Diabo is full of energy and is the orator of the northern part of the Village, inhabited by farmers, animal workers, hunters and everything related to nature.

 He often fights with his two brothers in the little senate made by the gems, where overy one of the parts of the Village has its own orator- and Diabo is a very skilled one!

He loves to stay outside but he’s good at study, because he knows the people that count on him have great expectations on him.

Borazon's new Strunz classification came out and since im posting all my ocs in Strunz classification order and he should have been the first.. posting him now :)

Borazon is not a diamond, but he's as hard as them. But he's never been a diamond not even in his heart- in fact, he can't fight, and won't. Borazon is a gentle giant, he loves to work with his strong, powerful hands, in his cozy little leather working laboratory.

He's one of the six gems that escaped the Original Island around 3300 years before, and he went because he hoped for another new society where he wasn't forced to fight, where he could be quiet and peaceful. And he found his heaven in the Mountain Island!

His laboratory is next to Thamuasite's, that may or may not fancy him quite a bit. He has a close relationship with Effenbergerite, that makes the tans for his leather, Mellite that creates the chemical compounds that he needs for his works, and Terlinguaite that makes outfits with the leather Borazon makes.

Borazon has finally found happiness :)

Chiolite is Cryolite's younger brother, and the less strong and able too. He tries to do whatever Cryo does, but Chio is not as agile, strong or quet as a spy as his big bro, and he often fails his missions for fear! 

Chiolite is very scared, because of his dangerous birth- he's actually the older of the brothers, but Chio was born in a very stormy and cold winter, and stayed an entire winter in the ice and snow without being noticed by the others. Only when the spring come and Cryolite was born too, they found both of them, but Chio's inclusions stayed weak since then. If Chio breaks, he probably can't be put back together, and this scares him so much- death is a possibility for him, in a world of immortal beings.

He feels at ease in winter, and is frend with all of the Winter Workers, even if he doesnt talk much anyway. His best friend is his brother Cryo... he's a bit of a loner, even if a cute one.

Cryolite the spy!

He’s quiet, aloof, and mysterious. He’s the spy of the village, taking orders directly from the vice-leader, Taaffeite, and taking part in his strange schemes.

The chemical composition of Cryolite makes him completely invisible in water, making him a perfect spy to control the Admirabilis tribes around the Archipelago that don’t really have a great relationship with the Gems Village, and other possible threats.

He has a little brother, Chiolite, that is less skilled than him, but Cryolite won’t admit you talking shit about his adorable cute little brother, or he’ll show you how dangerous, fast and mortal he really is.

Other than his baby bro Chio, he’s friend with the equally skilled Lizardite, and has a great respect for his boss Taaffeite.

Lecoqite, the leader of the Night Patrols on the Mountain Archipelago

Lafossaite is a prick. Yeah that’s it, that’s his personality.

He has a superiority complex even being one of the shortest Gems in the entire Village, and being extremely breakable (even if his hardness is not the lowest of them all). His ego is so big his right arm, made of Thallium, an incredibly poisonous metal, decided to act on his own and attack him sometimes, because not even him can’t take Fossa’s shit anymore. 

He’s a thallium salt, and he’s very, VERY toxic and dangerous. He lives alone, in his laboratory at the extreme periphery of the Outer Village, and not many can get near him- except the ones that already have Thallium in their bodies, like Routhierite. Routh is a sweet young Gem and can almost be considered his friend, and surely the only one standing Fossa’s ego.

Fossa’s job is “death researcher” or “mortician”: he studies “death”, this concept that Gems can’t understand. He’s often questioned by the philosophers and thinkers of the Inner Village, but, as always, Fossa thinks he’s better than them. He considers science superior to philosphy, and loves other scientists like Wulfenite, Munakataite, Mellite or Mackayite, but they don’t really like him back.

Sanguinite is an ok guy that tries too hard to be edgy and fails because he's too wholesome for that. He’s also quite short and not very intimidating.

He's a jeweler and goldsmith, being made by silver, a very precious metal. He also contains /a lot/ of mercury, being a similiar mineral to Cinnabar, and can use the mercury to purify the metals he uses. (Mercury makes everyone a lil bit edgier)

In the Mountain Island, the jewelry is very important, and almost every gem wears precious metals. The leaders (especially Sillimanite and Taaffeite, and Painite that's the leader of the Winter Works squad) wear more than the others, to show their status.

Sanguinite's jewels are also exported to Admirabilis royalty, that pay back with shells and important sea materials to the Gem Society. 

Sanguinite and Flint spend almost all their time together in the forges (and sometimes Niter too, to control the fires), and is often helped in his designs by Davinciite and Eosphorite.

Tubulite is the last born on the Island, being just 8 years old.

He's still completing school (that will last aroun 100 years), comprehending gem history, geology, basic biology and botany, literature and what's known of human history and culture.

Tubulite doesn't work yet, because he's too young for that, and one day he will discover what's his destiny. For now, he's just the baby of the group.

He likes to follow people around and observe what they do, and sometimes complain because he's not being spoiled enough!

Routhierite is a funny, pleasant, nice guy, naive and always happy to help! But he's also incredibly poisonous. In his body there's thallium, mercury antimony and arsenic (between many other elements that are less poisonous than this ones), but thanks to his stubborness he can control them quite easily.

So, he's been chosen as "executioner" for the Admirabilis kingdom, to execute those who committed horrible crimes. Routhierite is a young gem, trying to help everyone, but he can't stand bad people.

He has a strong sense of justice, and quite empathetic, understanding who's innocent and who's not quite easily.

He'll get VERY angry at bad people. And he'll use his poison against them in the worst way...

Kermesite is tall, but he's one of the most frail and weak Gems of all the Island, with only a hardness of 1 and half. 

Kermesite doesn't care about it. He's all about fabrics, paints and art, and works well with Borazon (that works the leather), Effenbergerite (pigments) and he's the boss of Celadonite, the embroider. With Davinciite (designer) and Eosphorite (artist) makes the best fabrics for the Gems, and with the help of Osumilite (seller to the Admirabilis) and Hellyerite/Numen (ambassador for the Admirabilis) he also finds a way to make dresses and fabrics for the various tribes, that could be beautiful and comfortable in water too.

Kerme is considered one of the most beautiful Gems on the entire Island thanks to his iridescent metallic colour from tyrian to purple to blue, and his rather gentle nature- "rather" because he can be pretty bossy if things don't go as he expected.

He's VERY obsessed with perfection. Celadonite, that works for him, has already seen Kerme breaking just because of stress, or because a fabric didn't come out as he expected.

He needs an holiday..

The enigmatic Orpiment has been probably the first gems to be born on the Mountain Island, some 6000 years prior to now, or even more- gems had no society back then, before the rogue group from the Original Island settled on the new archipelago.

Orpiment is the shaman, the one who talks to the Gods- special Moon People that didn't seem to vanish like all the others did, and are not evil and don't seek for the extinction of the Gem people. These Gods, worshipped by the Admirabilis of the island and by the gems that lived there before the formation of their society, seem to have effects on the climate, and worshipping and talking to them takes some results, like the end of the winter, or the start of the rainy season.

Orpiment is the closer to them, telling the other Gems that they did attach another set of arms to his chest, and them give him the power to shift, to evolve, since he says he originally was a Realgar, plagued by the sun and waiting to succumb and become powder. Yttrite, another old gem born before the Society, says he never saw him as a Realgar, or with less than four arms, but he was definitely had more red coloured parts than today. Orpiment is a real mystery, and some think he's crazy and is planning something- others says he's a very holy man, and other just think he's weird just as everyone else on the Island.

Laurite is a gentle, older gem, that loves taking care of others- since he can't do really much other.

Born in the Original Island and childhood friend of Sillimanite, Laurite was seen as "useless" by the gem society because of his ridicule brittleness, compared to his decend hardness of 7 and half.

Worsening his situation, Laurite's body produces three metals: Rhutenium, Osmium and Iridium, extremely hard metals but very heavy that always break him every time he tries to use it. Combined to his paceful, slow nature, he was the worst fighter, and unable to do manual job- thus, useless.

He joined Sillimanite in his "escape/rebellion" from the old Island because of that.

At the new island, he helps younger gems finding a place and a job, a passion or a hobby, and helps all the gems (and sometimes Admirabilis!) that need comfort, or to feel accepted.

Laurite is a bit of a "mom" for every gem at the Island!

Moissanite is the youngest of the guards, and namely not one- he's officially Putnisite's assistant, but really he's the one protecting him.

Putnisite is the smartest of the gems, but also the weakest and most frail- with only 1 of hardness, he needs help. And the young and strong and extrahard Moissanite is perfect for this job!

Moissanite is short but powerful, almost as hard as a diamond and less breakable (not as unbreakable as Ballas tho..), very able in swordsmanship and with excellent reflexes.

He's somewhat resented about not being a diamond, and unsure if its a good or a bad thing. He's a very unsure young gem- does he want to be a diamond or not? does he want to have fun or be serious and work for Putni all the time? Does he like to play with Demantoid and Crocoite or to train with Kammererite? He doesn't know he can enjoy both... for Moissanite, the world is only black or white.

Champagne Diamond is the first diamond born on the Island, and the weakest and smallest, being the invincible Ballas' older brother.

Diamonds are very rare on the Mountain Island, so Champ has a great self-esteem, way bigger than what it should be. Champ is not good at fighting, so he serves as a "cop" (a guard for the inner part of the Village where nothing happens). 

He's always fighting with the young and stubborn Moissanite, and laughs at him for being 0.5 softer than him. 

He's veeeery cheeky and most of the time insufferable, yet he's the only one that seems to care for Autunite, the watch gem that lives alone on a tower because of his high radioactivity.
