ok let’s start workshopping this!! ways they could address why Geralt is Liam Hemsworth now:

- he regenerates

- gets his face eaten by magical face eating slugs and has to get a new one

- plastic surgery

- time cut several years into the future & they try to pass off Hemsworth as an older Cavill

- Geralt has to go undercover, has someone transform his face into a different face

- have him wear a mask for the whole season

- put Hemsworth in elaborate make up to make him look like Cavill

- gets hit with curse of Hemsworth (turns u into a Hemsworth brother)

- that’s not Geralt, that’s his long lost brother, Gerald

- whole episode face/off reference

- Geralt gets killed so they transfer his consciousness into a cloned body provided by Garfield the Deals Warlock

- gets bitten by a Liam Hemsworth and transforms into one

- Geralt gets merged with an alternate version of himself from another dimension

- Geralt gets turned into a cardboard cut out and Jaskier has to reconstruct his face but he cocks it up so Geralt just has a new face now

- reveal that Geralt has actually been wearing a Henry Cavill mask this whole time & this is his real face

- witchers have shapeshifting powers but don’t use them

- Jaskier & only Jaskier keeps saying that Geralt looks kind of different, everyone else insists they have no idea what he’s talking about

- his face just does that

all excellent ideas & i’d also like to submit:

- he goes to drink a potion but WHOOPS he accidentally drank potion of turn ur face different

- someone tries to poison him but accidentally gives him Potion of Hemsworth

- makeover from Fantasy Queer Eye

- full continuity reboot (just, start the show again from the beginning w Hemsworth this time, hope he lasts more than 3 seasons)

- digitally edit Hemsworth into seasons 1-3 and pretend it was always like that

The entire framing, pace and aesthetic abruptly changes from the previous series, which is suddenly explained as occurring from Yennefer’s POV and being related as a story by Yennefer, an unreliable narrator, who it turns out has done a rather unexpectedly flattering portrayal of Geralt but has lost the thread by trying to explain too many EXTREMELY IMPORTANT PLOT THREADS.

In the new series Jaskier breaks the fourth wall and forcibly takes control of the narrative, and Geralt is portrayed from that point onwards in a tightly confined episodic series, this time as a different actor who is simultaneously hotter and far more bumbling. He is also shown as much shorter than Jaskier. Some events are the same, but the time jumps are more random and centred entirely around Jaskier’s character development; entire plot movements from Yennefer’s explanation are simply not noticed; this version also advances time farther and covers more ground. Unfortunately, by paying very little attention to politics, it falls completely apart because entire factions appear to the audience to be moving about without reason, the ending shatters and in the next series someone else (Ciri?) advances a few corrections of their own.

In Ciri’s series of corrections, Geralt is played by Rowan Atkinson in an unsettling wig, in a peculiar, sensitive exploration. Atkinson offers an angle on a Geralt that is deeply comical, comfortingly paternal, physically much older than the character is in everyone else’s eyes (as teens view people over 30 as being essentially walking corpses), and most importantly not sexy at all. The rating drops abruptly down in terms of sex, because Geralt is the least sexual person in the universe, but the violence escalates. This only lasts a few episodes before someone else talks over her, and the rest of the season is randomly carried by either David Tennant or, perhaps more hilariously, Jodie Whitaker, wearing a beard and refusing to explain herself. This is narrated by a familiar voice that later turns out to be a Geralt VA from the games. Interestingly, this parts of the series follows the beats of the video games and is episodic, a sort of “monster of the week” in which Jodie-in-a-beard is presented quite seriously and respectfully, but participates very little in the actual plot, which is shown to be a series of mechanisms perpetrated by everyone else and Jodie-in-a-beard is merely an engaged witness. The narrator also talks critically over the most incredible bombastic fight scenes. It turns out that Geralt is narrating this one: the version is shouted down in its turn for being far too boring, despite the visuals, because the narrator never describes the visuals.

I don’t really know much about the Witcher and I think I should write it.

My Comfort Characters in a Room Series

Author Note: Ever since I found out that Sir Phillip Crane (Bridgerton) and Rience (The Witcher) are the same actor I keep thinking about if Sir Phillip Crane and Jaskier met. Since they are both comfort characters that I simp, I decided to write it into my series. 😊

Sir Phillip Crane: Ah! Hello. Sir Phillip Crane.

Jaskier: *extends his hand* Julian Alfred Pankratz, but you can call me Jaskier.

Sir Phillip Crane: *nods at him* Nice to make your acquaintance. You don't want to shake my hand, I still have soil on them. I was spending some time in my greenhouse. Jaskier, do you enjoy plants?

Jaskier: Only if I'm smoking them.

Sir Phillip Crane: *blinks* I can see for medicinal reasons that might be necessary but I do not normally set plants on fire.

Jaskier: It's totally for that medical reason you just stated. *Pauses* You look vaguely familiar. Have we meet before?

Sir Phillip Crane: No. I can't see how that is possible.

Jaskier: Hmmm. You look like someone I've met before. I just know it. Maybe it's your hands.

Sir Phillip Crane: I don't know what you mean.

Jaskier: *eyes widen and he jesters wildly while backing up* You don't shoot fire from your hands, do you?

Sir Phillip Crane: *Quirks an eyebrow and looks at him strangely* No, I'm a botanist. Would you like to see my Flora Graeca?

Jaskier: Ohhhhh ok ok..good...hey I don't judge! However you wish to identify is quite ok, and no one has called it that before but sure...why not?! It sounds rather exotic.

Sir Phillip Crane: Well, yes some plants and flowers are on the more exotic side.

Jaskier: Plants...righttttt

Sir Phillip Crane: You are very odd.
