Every time I see this scene, I can feel Loki's pain because I've been there. I've felt that way before and I know what those expressions of hurt/heartbreak convey. I know what it's like to try to keep it together, to keep myself together, especially in public or when it's ripped from me suddenly.

everything about this scene is heartbreaking. Loki watches his mother and father die. he sees that we would finally make amends with his brother, but then watches himself die. it’s just too much to handle. despite all of this, it has to be my favourite scene because it shows how vulnerable and misunderstood Loki has always been, plus it shows Tom’s acting range (Tom was not watching these clips. it was all his imagination and acting skills)
