Moon Girl And Devil Dinosaur Pro-Trans Episode Reportely Banned Due Election Results However Disney Says It's Being "Held".

Over the past days there have been reports that an unreleased episode of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur won’t air on Disney Channel over its politically sensitive LGBTQ themes, people who worked on the show say.

Artists who worked on the show took to social media this week to lament that the episode had been “shelved because of which party that won the recent election,” likely referring to Donald Trump winning the presidency and Republicans garnering a majority in the U.S. House and Senate. Conservative politicians have campaigned to ban trans and non-binary student athletes competing in girl’s and women’s athletics in recent years.

The reaction from the industry and LGTBQ+ people was met with blackash mostly as the episode made itself availible trought illegal ways like Youtube and The Web Archive with fans of the show arguing that it was for the best since the show got canceled anyways, several members from the industry such as The Owl House creator Dana Terrace championed the piracy of the episode trought her social media like Blue Sky expressing dissapointment and anger on Disney being "cowardly" arguing that "trans kids need episodes and media like this more than ever."

However today a Disney Branded Television representative came with an statement via Polygon that the episode was not banned, the episode was being held till a future airdate likely till 2025 when the second half of the final season airs.

"The decision to hold the episode of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur was made more than a year ago and was not based the result of recent U.S. elections, in this case, this decision was based on this specific episode, not because of the character being trans, The episode is NOT specifically “banned” from airing, but being “held., Disney is “really proud” of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, noting that its target age range is kids age 6-12 and that the company is “respectful of the role that parents play in the discussions they have with their children.” --- Disney Branded Television Spokeperson

As someone who's had to bake gluten free for several years, watching ppl do shit like this with regular bread feels like literal space age magic to me. Gluten free dough is a consumptive Victorian child who must be coddled and wrapped in silk and prayed over night and day if he stands half a chance of making it to adulthood as anything but a slab of featureless rice mush, and regular bread bakers are out here making whole ass sculptures and quilts and shit. Screw riches and eternal youth, baby, if the devil was real i'd sell my soul in a heartbeat just to be able to rip apart one of these loaves like a feral hog. If you're intestinally capable of digesting gluten I need you to do something for me right now and close your eyes and spend a moment treasuring this fact. and then go and deep-throat a baguette in my honor

Just watched the banned Moon Girl episode.

>the episode addresses the topic of trans kids in sports >the entire episode is about how bigots will always move the goalpost, and playing by their rules is pointless >the solution is not to play their game and break the rules >it also states that trans people should never feel like a burden >the character Brooklyn is explicitly stated to be trans >there is also an explicitly nonbinary character >multiple mentions of pride and depictions of pride flags, trans flags and progress flags

I'm not at all surprised this didn't get past the censors but I'm so mad that it didn't, because this could've been something really special, and the fact it was canned after being fully finished is downright painful. This episode was wonderful and I'm grateful to all the people who worked on it, and angry that their hard work was wasted. Disney did not deserve you.

PEOPLE, WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT SPREAD AND SHARE THIS LINK CONTAINING THE LEAKED EPISODE OF MOON GIRL AND DEVIL DINOSAUR THAT DISNEY SHELVED BECAUSE OF THE “political climate” THAT FEATURES A TRANSGENDER CHARACTER AND THE STRUGGLE SHE FACES BY BIGOTS TRYING TO EXCLUDE HER FROM SPORTS

AND WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT SPREAD AND SHARE THIS LINK TO THE ONLINE ARCHIVE IN CASE MR MOUSE AND HIS ARMY OF LAWYERS INEVITABLY HAVE THE LEAKED EPISODE REMOVED FROM YOUTUBE.

If your democrat friends start muttering about stolen election conspiracy theories, the time to have a sit down with them and express your concerns is NOW, while you still have a chance to reach them, not 6 months from now when they're fully conspiracy-pilled.

Here's some of the talking points and why they're bullshit:

  • '10 million votes don't just disappear!' -> Joe Biden's 81 million votes were a statistical outlier, sparked by the recent experience of the Trump presidency. The democrats failed to maintain that sense of urgency, but Harris still got more votes than Hillary Clinton, more than Obama and more than any previous democratic candidate. These numbers are not weird at all.
  • 'The Republicans tried to infiltrate election- and vote counting organizations!' -> yeah, they did, and yet hundreds of independent legal observers didn't see anything go wrong enough to raise any alarms. Independent exit polls are also very consistently similar to the counted votes. Tons of international organizations specialized in this stuff observed the election and didn't see a reason to raise the alarm.
  • 'But I know a dozen democrats whose mail-in votes were not counted!' -> In any election a certain number of votes are registered as invalid because something was wrong with the ballot. In a country the size of the US, that translates to many thousands of votes. The internet allows these people to find each other, creating the false impression that a suspiciously large group of voted was not valid.
  • 'Musk used Star Link to mess with electronic voting!' -> Electronic voting machines are not connected to the internet and dozens of independent media have already debunked this myth. It is absolutely impossible to use Star Link to fake election results.
  • 'There is voter disenfranchisement!' -> This is true. This has always been true, for every election. It's an issue worth talking about but it's not a special secret conspiracy that's unique to this election.

But just as importantly as the facts: sit down with your friend and talk about the anxiety that's behind their conspiracy leanings. Acknowledge their pain and fear. Help them find ways to feel less powerless and regain their sense of agency. Take them to a mutual aid event, involve them in a fundraising event for a marginalized group, invite them to a local community effort. If they spend more time feeling connection and empowerment and less time doom scrolling online, they're far more likely to stay in reality.

This this this

I worked as an election judge across multiple polling locations and election types in my state from 2018-2023 (presidential primary and general elections, midterms, and special elections like for the school board etc.)

US elections are extremely secure. There are so many safeguards in place. Everything is double and triple counted.

The number of ballots electronically counted by the box are checked against the number of physical ballots at the end of the night, and also the receipt papers that individuals exchange for their ballot. All three of these counts MUST MATCH. Sometimes you're off by 1 number and it means everyone stops and triple counts these papers until you find the error (human error, it's been 16 hours and two pieces of thin receipt paper were stuck together and the second person to recount finds it and everyone cheers because thank fuck, it means no one dropped anything on the floor anywhere.)

There are eyes everywhere and there's a deliberate mix of poll workers across political parties/affiliations. It's simply not possible to alter even 1 ballot at 1 polling place, much less thousands.

Unfortunately, Donald Trump won this election. If there was interference, it was NOT at the voting booth. That's simply not possible. The "interference" (if you can even call it that) comes from right wing propaganda convincing stupid and/or hateful and/or selfish people to vote for him.

This is a great amount of information! Also I definitely am feeling that the reason there are so many "election fraud" outcries (in addition to the right wing propaganda) is that all of the people who didn't vote for Harris are now looking to point fingers at anyone other than themselves. I've already seen the same people also trying to claim certain things Kamala Harris did were the reason they didn't vote for her. They are desperate to avoid blame so they feel less guilty when people start dying. If you hear something that sounds like a conspiracy theory, always think about who created that conspiracy and what the goal of it is.

Also I definitely am feeling that the reason there are so many "election fraud" outcries…is that all of the people who didn't vote for Harris are now looking to point fingers at anyone other than themselves.

(1) Do you have any evidence of this, or are you just "feeling" it? Because it doesn't make any sense for non-voters / 3rd-party-voters—the people for whom it should be most believable for Harris to have lost legitimately—to cry conspiracy.

They are desperate to avoid blame so they feel less guilty when people start dying.

(2) It's wild to me to blame individual people who didn't vote Dem instead of blaming the Dems for running a failed campaign. Any grievances you have with the election results should fall squarely on the Harris campaign and the Democratic party. (EDIT: And, like, fascist Trump supporters. It makes sense to blame fascist Trump supporters. But blaming non-voters and third-party voters is infantile.)

(3) What do you mean "start dying"? People are dying now, under the current Democratic presidency. Police murder has gone up every year Biden's been in office. Federal police funding and power is still escalating. Deportations increased under Biden, and not just because of COVID (edit: not that that would even be a valid justification): deportations are still higher now than they were any year under Trump. There are still concentration camps at the U.S. border. There are still children in them. American imperialism and its consequences are running rampant, in Israel and elsewhere. What the hell do you mean "start dying"??? Maybe you should spend less energy worrying about who wins the White House, and more energy worrying about how to attack and resist U.S. state power regardless of who wields it.

(4) Before you go making this about whether I voted or not: Harris won my state. Ad-hom votescolding has no power here.

THANK YOU

lindt is being sued in a class action in the united states because they are one of MANY brands of chocolate that tested high for heavy metals. and this is despite lindt claiming their chocolate is "expertly crafted with the finest ingredients". no recall was issued after the tests came out. lead and cadmium can fuck the body over BAD.

lindt's genius defense is that they are going to stop saying the whole thing about being expertly crafted with the finest ingredients, so nobody can complain about the heavy metals in their chocolate anymore! and that makes it okay. source: trust me bro

(now please drop the lawsuit thanks)

imagine this. you advertise yourself as "the coolest dude around". your whole persona is being "cool" and "chill". and then one day, you burn someone's house down on purpose. they inevitably sue the shit out of you. and your defense is that you will stop calling yourself "cool" or "chill" so nobody can reasonably expect that you will not set things on fire, because fire is hot, which is the opposite of cool and chill. and therefore everything is fine now and nobody can be mad at you anymore.

that is lindt's defense here.
