Why I think Castiel will sacrifice his grace for Dean and die in season finale

The fandom has been going nuts and speculating vigorously about the season finale, especially after spoilers and extended promo.

Here are my thoughts as to why I think that Cas will give up his grace and meet his sorrowful ending:

1. The season title. It’s angel grace banishing the demon smoke/darkness/evil. I believe the show gave us a big hint/foreshadowing there. And I know only one angel who would  willingly give it up to have Dean cured.

2. Castiel’s grace was hidden in a book called The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha, written by Miguel De Cervantes (if you have not read the book I strongly recommend you do it!). In the book the main hero Don Qixote travels together with his friend Sancho Panza to fight against the imaginary evil, getting in lot of troubles. While it’s funny, it’s more tragicomedy, especially in the end. I think the writers made a perfect choice there, because this book fits Castiel perfectly.  And I have a feeling that it was a foreshadowing once again, probably telling us how sad Castiel’s ending will be. 

3. Robbie Thompson’s tweet. “Pizza party or last supper?” Well, Guess what? One of the people sitting at that table is already dead. Maybe it will be Cas’ turn soon?

Also: Jensen said that Sam would be the one doing all the crying in the finale. I can’t find the source right now, so if you have it, drop me a PM and I will add it. Now, let’s think about it: Dean cannot die as the mark will not let him (unless he gets rid of it and THEN dies) but he died in last season so I don’t think it’s him dying AGAIN. Then, I am pretty sure Sam will not cry over Crowley as he promised Rowena to kill him. I don’t think they would make it so big if it was Crowley. I mean, yeah he is a great character but all the fandom knows that sooner or later he would die and kind of got used to this thought. So, who do we have left? Of course Cas! Now, Cas’ death would hurt like hell and that’s probably why they described the finale as emotionally traumatizing.

6. According to Misha, the finale will not only “deliver,” but it will leave viewers with a serious case of whiplash. “There’s going to be a moment when everyone breathes a collective and triumphant sigh of relief,” he says, before ominously adding, “followed by a horrific ‘oh shit’ moment.” Translation: The finale will probably make you cry. all (source)

This is all I can think of at the moment. If I remember anything more, I will add it.

Also, I hope that I am wrong. I do not want Cas to die (though probably he will be brought back).

Baby!Jensen

We have seen many brands of beer on Supernatural over the past two seasons. Last season we mostly saw Sam and Dean drinking from bottles with red labels depicting the image of a Native American. This season we have seen blue and red labeled bottles mostly, while Dean was shown drinking Cain’s preferred brand of beer after he took on the mark.

Only twice have we seen the particular brand of beer seen in the above gifs. First, in 8x23, when the cupid delivered the beer to the men she gifted with love. Second, in 9x06, when the beer delivery man interrupted Dean and Cas’ conversation so that Cas could sign for the delivery. These two scenes are almost direct mirrors of one another, with the same brand of beer, the characters framed in almost the exact same positions, and the bright blue and red colors featured so prominently in both.

We can’t be certain what the intentions were here, but it I can’t watch this scene from Heaven Can’t Wait without immediately being reminded of two men falling in love with a little nudge in the right direction from Heaven.

i cannot believe that those two bar fools like, spent time coming up with a plan to literally kill dean winchester, and what they came up with was “attempt to beat and/or chop him to death in broad daylight in a public park where strangers can see us”

the episode spent time on these two people and gave them close-up shots of sly looks where they seemed to be plotting something with devious intent, but now we know all they were capable of thinking was like “man i wonder what it would taste like if you put grapes on your nachos that’d probably be super refreshing”

For those upset about Misha's exclusion from the 200th episode of SPN.

I’ve been seeing a lot of upset and frustration over the news that Misha won’t be in the supposed “Love Letter to the Fans” for Supernatural’s 200th episode. And I feel it. It resonates with a lot of people seeing as Castiel is not only a favorite, but the character and the person who gives him life have changed so many lives so profoundly.

So I challenge you Misha/Castiel lovers. Help me make it known just how loved and important he is to the show and to us. I’m not saying we can change minds, and I’m not saying that we will be able to make TPTB see. But we can hopefully send Misha the message that the 200th episode is a celebration for him as a pillar for the show and for the fanbase.

Let’s make a video. Or more than one depending on how many submissions I get.

Send a short video containing a shout-out of congratulations to our favorite angel to [email protected]. Why is Cas your favorite character? Why is Misha your favorite actor? Why is he important to you?

Let’s show them that in the face of disappointment we only have love for Misha and that he deserves the recognition as a part of this family just as much as anyone else. Help reblog and spread the word!
