(Holly x Ryan) A Choices Red Carpet Diaries Fan Fiction Drabble. Marcus von Groot makes an appearance.
A/N This is kinda of a continuation of Holly's Bucket List story.
But Why?
Ryan had just fallen into that infinitely precious type of sleep that if a hurricane dating a freight train had danced in his room to death metal, he wouldn't know. It was exactly what his exhausted body needed after the day he had. The superhero movie was going well, he just wasn't used to the physical toll it was taking out on his body.
He frowned in his sleep at an unwelcome sound. A sound that had somehow violently pierced through that warm cocoon of sweet rest. He cracked opened his eyes and reached for his phone. He had left it across the room.
He groaned and threw the covers back. He half walked/half dragged himself to the dresser. "No." He muttered, flipping a light on. He hit accept on the video chat and stared at the face he normally didn't mind looking at.
"Hey! You're not going to--did I wake you up?" Holly asked.
"Oh. It's ten o'clock at night here in Sydney. What time is it there?" She asked.
"Three in the morning." He bit out. "What was it you needed."
"Oops. Sorry. Anyway, do you remember my bucket list you had me write a few years ago?" She asked.
Ryan rubbed a hand over his eyes. "Holly, I just told you it is three in the morning here. Is this a necessary conversation right now?"
"Yes! This is important. I've been waiting a long time for this!" She exclaimed. "Now are you going to waste time asking stupid questions or are you going to listen to me?"
Ryan's head dropped forward. "Just tell me what it is."
"Do you remember item number twenty-four?" Her smile held a hint of evil.
Ryan's head shot up. "Was that the one--you didn't?!"
"YES, I DID!" Her laughter was maniacal. "You should have seen it. Marcus couldn't stop it from happening."
"What is it with all your fantasies involving boats on the ocean?" He muttered.
"What? It's exciting because there is no escape. One little slip and BAM you might drown or be eaten." Her glee scared him a little.
"Alright crazy, I'm exhausted. I'm glad you can cross off number twenty-four and that it was used on the one director that tortured me while filming Preposterous Proposals." Ryan yawned. "Try not to do anything else without me around to keep you from prison."
She grinned. "I won't. It was an opportunity that I couldn't resist. See you in a few weeks."
"Uh huh." He was already half-asleep and falling back against his pillow.
Holly's grin turned soft at seeing him nod off as she ended the call. It turned a tad sinster again when she overheard Marcus retelling the day's mishap as he walked past her room.
"I tell you it is onbegrijpelijk!" The Dutch director exclaimed. "One minute, I am still, then the next my feet are how you say..." His impatient tone grew louder. "What is word?!"
"Tangled?" His beleaguered assistant offered.
"Yes! Tangled in that rope. I was like bait hanging upside down in water for some shark." His voice was incredulous. "I do not know how it happened."
