“Rey?”
Silence ticked in. He took a few steps toward her but she didn’t meet his eye.
“Rey, what is it?”
Another stretch. His gloved hands came to rest on both sides her shoulders. From the corner of her eye, she saw him tilt his head. Damn him for his puppy eyes. It never failed to break something inside her.
“Please,” he begged.
Emotion knotter her throat. Her jaw started quivering.
“Hold me,” she croaked.
And he did.
