“I’ve seen them all, for sure,” Phia Saban said. “I mean, sometimes Ewan [and I] will be doing a scene and we’ll be like, ‘Do it for Helaemond.’ And he’s like, ‘You know what the people want.'” Ewan Mitchell confirmed this later that same day in another roundtable interview Decider attended with him.  “I think it’s nice to leave, you know, little seeds out there for the audience to kind of create their own theories on things,” Mitchell said. “I mean, Targaryen-ism is known for that,” he said, referring to the incestuous nature of such a romance. “And so it’s not entirely out of the question. But I mean, I don’t know, it’s an interesting theory for sure.” Phia Saban revealed that what the pair of them love about Helaemond is that their characters’ chemistry didn’t come from the script at all. I see your "people say they are a monster, but I am the only one who knows the truly kind soul beneath" dynamic and raise you "they are exactly the monster everyone says they are, but I see it and I don't flinch away"

Lykirī - Aemond x Helaena

Warning: canon typical violence, so much hurt/comfort.

Summary: my Helaemond fic for the events post-Storm’s End. a/n: dragon flight time estimates from Storm’s End to King’s Landing vary from 5-7 hours so I’m setting this at sunrise the next morning because Ewan said in a promo that Lucerys was killed at sunset. 1.6k words.

Also, a huge thank you to everyone who encouraged me to write this before we all find out what really happened.

The air around Helaena crackled as the lightening flashed. The storm was on its way. Her silver hair whipped across her face as she looked up into the grey morning sky. The pink of the sunrise was just visible between the clouds and the horizon. She narrowed her eyes against the wind as she smoothed her hair back from her face. Her first glimpse of Vhagar was as she and her rider broke through the cloud cover above the Dragonpit. The time it would take for Aemond to travel from there to the Red Keep would feel interminable. She turned, after they disappeared from sight, and left the courtyard.

Hell yeaaaaaaaaaaah, this is perfect!! But also my poor babies 🥺
