It's okay to grow up.

At some point, when you're no longer the target audience and haven't been for years, you've got to grow out of enjoying cartoons aimed at children and YA novels, or, at the very least, you've got to learn to enjoy them differently.

(Better still would be to engage with works aimed at a more adult audience, works that will hopefully speak to you much more than stuff aimed at babies. What do you mean you're in your mid-to-late twenties and your favourite shows and books are AtlA and TLT? How?? They're perfectly fine, but how does this satisfy you?)

Caitlyn being part of the 40% of cops was unexpected but also excellent writing

Ella Purnell sells even the clunkiest of lines and makes them sound perfect, she runs circles around the rest of Arcane's main cast as far as voice acting talent goes and, considering how great everybody else is, that's saying something

Jinx's character animation is brilliant, but the voice acting is what brings it all together

I have so many thoughts about Arcane but the first one is, “damn, these facial rigs are fucking incredible”

Seriously, the way these characters emote, and how Fortiche isn’t afraid to make them look a little ugly at times… it’s really special

Silent Hill 2 was made by people who love and were inspired by movies, Jacob’s Ladder, Angel Heart, all things David Lynch and Dario Argento.

SH2 Remake seems to have been made by people who love and were inspired by other video games, and while there’s nothing wrong with it, the difference shows.

Well, the Silent Hill 2 remake is completely unnecessary but it’s not as offensively bad as I thought it would be. It can’t be the original, and while what it is instead is nowhere near as powerful and impactful as that special game, it’s a pretty okay time nevertheless. I don’t like it but I don’t actively hate it.

Do kids these days even know somethingawful? Like there’s a whole generation that discovered Danganronpa through the games/anime adaptation, not through the sa thread (the best way to experience it). Same with Homestuck, so much of early HS is obviously goon shit in a way that would be indecipherable for younger kids who weren’t around.
