Interview with Enus Mariani after the Florence Grand Prix by Ginnasticando (my translation)
Interviewer: Enus, what was it like coming back after this long injury?
Enus: Hi everyone! Well, coming back after such a long time has been really tiring, but today I’m very happy.
Int.: And you won, too!
E.: Yes, I wasn’t expecting that.
Int.: At the Abierto Mexicano you’ll make your comeback in international competitions, how do you feel about it?
E.: Yes, I will compete in Mexico and I’m very happy that I’ll be able to represent Italy.
Int.: It will be a long trip, won’t it?
E.: Yes, we’re leaving on Dec 2nd and we’re coming home on Dec 8th.
Int.: What do you have in store for next year and what are your goals?
E.: There will be the Serie A (Italian championships in which gymnasts compete with their clubs), and then Euros and Worlds.
Int.: Any other goals, like something you need to improve on, considering you’ve just come back?
E.: Well, yeah…I need to improve a bit everywhere!
Int.: What would you like to upgrade mostly?
E.: Um…getting back the UB routine I used to do. And today we did simplified dismounts, but I should be doing a DLO dismount on UB, a double pike dismount on BB, and adding a Tsukahara on FX.
Int.: Perfect! Thank you very much, and best of luck!
E.: Thank you!
