Cata is just the greatest

I don’t know what the left pic is from, but in 2010 Bross and Mustafina both medalled in the AA and UB. I always wonder about gymnasts who are together on the medal podium a lot. Do they remember each other? Are they sort of friendly?

Like Cheng and Sacramone, they medalled together for 3 straight years and then competed in Beijing together, did they know each other? And Memmel and Tweddle were both on the bars podium in 03 and 05, did they go “hey I remember you, nice job!” Did Raducan and Khorkina ever talk?

I’ve always wondered that, especially with Sacramone and Cheng. Between 2004 and 2008 they saw each other on various world cup/ world/ olympic podiums EIGHT TIMES. There must have been some kind of dynamic there.
