Please do WAG gymnasts as Harry Potter characters ⚡️

Sorry for the delay, I had a really, really hectic week and I wanted to think this through, because both Harry Potter and WAG are very important to me. But there are too many gymnasts, too many characters and this will never be ready so here’s what I got so far.

Aliya: Fleur - Super beautiful and magnetic to watch, spectators and judges fall under her charms, talented and a fighter, has a reputation of a diva, looks mean and snobby but isn’t, protective of her closest.

Vika: Hermione - Amazingly talented and good at everything, has almost every little detail figured out, still stresses out about stuff and gets very frustrated with herself when she’s not perfect, can momentarily give up and show weakness, but gets right back up again and always has hope, no matter what.

Melka: Cho Chang - The popular and talented girl, but also kind of an emotional wreck.

Nabs: Harry - Occasionally intense and broody, emotional, you still love her though and are ride or die for her, a daredevil, doesn’t follow the rules, quick to act, doesn’t always think through, a loyal friend, injured a lot, iconic hair.

Seda: Neville - Is a really good guy and a brave one, but nervous and just keeps fucking up and doesn’t believe in herself, but then is there and does the most important thing right when you need someone to get the job done.

Beefarm: Ron - Really rough at the edges, talented but often an underachiever and outshined for a loooong time by her teammates, but ultimately loyal and logical, always consistently comes through when it’s important.

Gabby: Ginny - First came to the elite stage as a side character having regular meltdowns, but grew up to be a talent with a fighting spirit, plenty of charisma, spunk and attitude.

Simone: James - The popular girl from the popular gang, almost everyone loves her, really talented and good at everything and it doesn’t even look like she’s trying.

Didi: Lupin - A good guy and a great friend and an important and invaluable member of her team, but doesn’t get to shine on her own and is just unbelievably unlucky with her injuries.

Shawn: Lockhart -  Famous, has lots of fans, markets herself well, is supposed to know stuff, but doesn’t really.

Wang Yan: Dobby - A tiny potato and a good friend, is actually amazing and tries her best, but the results are problematic and borderline dangerous, saves everyone when least expected.

Chuso: Nicholas Flamel - Fun and kooky enough to be friends with someone like Dumbledore, figured out a way to be immortal.

Sanne and Lieke: Parvati and Padma - Twins and share many similarities, but at the same time completely different.

Flavia: Felix Felicis - Actual perfect ray of sunshine.

V-Rod: Rita Skeeter - Invasive, rude, does anything to get a good story to the press and full of lies.

A potential lesson in that story, Boorman said, is that coaches don’t always need to push young gymnasts so quickly toward the elite path. “If you’re not eligible for the Olympics until 2024, do you want to be an elite now and have to maintain that level or maybe go through the Junior Olympic program and take your time, learn your skills and not feel that pressure to win?” she said. “You don’t have to put them in that situation before it is necessary. “I believe that other kids can be raised that way to be an elite athlete with a logical training regimen.”

I definitely think more coaches should take Aimee’s approach because I don’t think every gymnast need to hit the elite scene as soon as they turn twelve. (I mean, just look at Aly. She didn’t show up until she was 15.) It just would be nice to see even more athletes hitting their peak when they’re older because I’m tired of seeing very young talented girls burn out before they’re 16. (Also I think someone else brought this up - do girls 10 and younger really need to be nursing overuse injuries in the rush to do elite?)

can someone send this quote to kzb and all the woga coaches

My predictions for Russian Championships:

Aliya wins the AA while performing only on balance beam and uneven bars.

On beam she lacks most of the required elements and her “dismount” is falling on her double turn, and not getting back up because she made it look half legit and the judges decided that perhaps it was a new element.

On uneven bars she performs half of a routine and scores 17 because she’s that good.

Dasha hits beam, but it’s Seda who gets second on bars after Aliya. What can I say, people fell a lot and there was some sketchy scoring.

Vika wins second on AA based on a video she posted on vk with her watching the championships.

Beefarm has a beam routine. And it’s good.

Beefarm also sticks an amanar and debuts a new vault, “Paseka”. It’s yurchenko half on 2 twists off in a layout starfish position.

Melka and Kapi fight it to the death. By death I mean a wolf turn.

Masha K. performs well, hits her routines and looks solid but gets forgotten by everyone. Alla has the same fate.

The Guinness World Record for most turns on floor in a single competition is broken.

So is the record for most falls on double tucks.

Andrei Rodionenko files a petition for FIG to remove balance beam from artistic gymnastics.

Pavs makes a return to competition and Russia, and is one of the few ones who makes it out alive and makes the team for Euros. Unfortunately someone forgets to file for a visa and she gets left home.

Afan is back with the weirdest and flashiest floor routine ever seen. She wasn’t supposed compete, but got tired of watching the boring routines and improvised one on the spot. It ended with a sat down wolf turn, because just stopped caring in the middle of it. And was appalled about doing a wolf turn.

Valentina runs around looking crazy. People think it’s because there is some shit going on on the beam, but it’s really because she’s looking for her bottle of vodka. It was Melka who stole it. She watched Grishy’s Olympics and it was just much pressure.

The FIG denies Andrei’s petition and he sets off to fabricate a new birth certificate for Varvara Zubova as a last resort.

Khorkina gets tired of it all and makes a comeback. By the time Olympics comes, it’s only her against Cata in an empty arena because everyone else is injured. Both are in a full body cast, but they get shit done anyway.
