She exists!

The Couch Gymnast’s preview of the British Champs. Unfortunately Catherine Lyons won’t be there. Catherine told The Couch Gymnast that she has recently been given the all clear from a doctor after suffering what appeared to be a full ligament tear in her foot. She has also been receiving treatment for a ganglion cyst in her wrist. She is expected to still travel to Liverpool to support her team mates and she says she hopes to be back competing as soon as possible, most probably at the final Olympic trials in June.

It is unknown whether or not Tyesha Mattis, Gabby Jupp and Teal Grindle will compete; all of them have been recovering from injuries.

Catherine Lyons to miss EYOF:

She’s posted on her Instagram that she has a stress fracture in her foot, so she won’t be able to compete at EYOF in Tbilisi, Georgia later this year. :-( I should’ve known that was her in the boot and crutches in Giarnni Regini-Moran’s training clip.
