So update RE : Bridget Sloan

I commented on one of her ig pic, saying that what she said was offensive and that Songsong grew up malnourished..

AND SHE ACTUALLY DM ME TO APOLOGIZE : “I’m here sending you a personal apology. It was never to be taken offensively and since it was it has been taken down and I will lay low with the snaps. But again I am very sorry because it was out of line and unnecessary. Again I am sorry”

it sounds genuine and she honestly didn’t have to dm me to apologize ‘in person’ so kuddos to her for being that considerate 

she also told me that she admires the chinese girls !

Sloan hasn’t really said much about Marvin Sharp’s arrest and sudden suicide, but I can understand being too shocked and not wanting to talk about it especially in wanting to enjoy her final year of NCAA. This is the most she’s said anything about it so far.

That's gotta be somewhat frustrating for other teammates, but also good for her. She's had too many injuries in elite. Might as well chillax and dominate.

Haha yup I didn’t really hear anything about her elite training aside from knowing that she was in the best shape of her life during the European tour in 2009 when the team competed at a couple of friendly meets. She basically spent a month with Marta and working out on Marta’s terms and it was the most disciplined she’d ever had to be up to that point, even more so than when she was at the Olympics mainly because she had stepped up from baby to leader. Most of what I know comes from NCAA…when she first got to Florida she ate a lot and barely worked out. She was able to keep a Church in her bar routine for a minute but her weight gain made it too difficult for her to pike which is why she downgraded to the Ray, haha. And someone I talked to did a summer coaching intensive thing with her the past two summers and said she fully was the laziest person she ever met and had no idea how she was that successful. Just tons of natural talent and confidence. Obviously she wouldn’t be where she is without hard work, again, like any elite or level 10 or even like level 5 hahaha…you can’t really call a gymnast lazy by the normal sense of the word but I think from what I’ve heard Bridget is about as close as it gets.

This is the most hilarious story of all time in the gymternet so far to me. Bridget’s all like “Whatever I did elite for a million years now I get to eat all the things” woops can’t do a church anymore oh well. hahahaha Bridget. She’s still an absolute bamf but I just love hearing these BTS stories about NCAA particularly that shows she can just relax and be awesome because she’s got the mental game.

YUP. Apparently all of her weight gain went right to her stomach and she legit just couldn’t pike anymore…at least not enough to get over the high bar and catch again. Hilarious and I love that this is why she had to take out the skill. And she’s just casually like “haha whatever I legit don’t care.” I think she’s gotten in better shape since her freshman year but yeah, I love that she just let herself do what she wanted after spending so much time in elite.
