I quite liked Artur Davtyan. Two 6.0 vaults now!
Nagornyy stuck Dragulescu again but nearly fell off the podium on his Kas 2/1.
Dragulescu stuck his own vault. Big step off the mat on Li Xiaopeng.
Kristian Thomas got the single highest vault score for his Yurchenko double pike. Stumble back on his double front though.

Regardless of the scoring, I am very happy for Paseka because she has had such a rough quad and she has done so well for Russia this year and it’s great to see her getting more far than anyone ever expected her too. But I do wish she had won this medal with a better amanar

I want the FIG to make a rule where if you land feet first and butt second you get like a 5 in execution. I love her but I’m disgusted a Produnova with a fall gets her the same score as a DTY with no fall.
Im pretty sure she still gets a full point off for falling on her butt
yes she does and she also gets deducted for lack of rotation, leg separation, etc. my point is that 2.5 is not enough deduction considering the quality of this vault and the risk involved in chucking it.
And she will continue to compete it if she can get scores like this until one day she hurts herself doing it
I feel like they should introduce something where if when you land your butt is less than a 45 degree angle from your feet you should get an additional full point deducted. Like if you’re landing basically in a squat position and it just happens your feet touch the ground a fraction of a second before your butt, that should not get a similar score to any vault that is landed standing up.
