What level team did USA send to pan ams? I remember last time it almost seemed like a level C team. I'm not trying to discount these girls abilities as they would be on any other country's A team, but because of our depth how do they compare?

You know, I’m really not sure… so I’m gonna rank the whole US team into A-D teams based on recent AA scores, experience and some subjectivity (my opinion). We’ll see where they land. I’m only pulling scores from last year if they don’t have any posted this year/their score this year is a major outlier (e.g. Kyla). A Team:Simone - 62.299 (AC)Bailie - 59.5 (J)Aly - 59.1 (J)Gabby - 58.9 (J)Kyla - 58.232 (WC AA) B Team: Alyssa - 58.7 (J)Mykayla - 57.832 (AC) Maggie - 57.5 (J)Maddie D. - 56.9 (J)Ashton - 30.35 (P&G, 2 Event)

If you do it strictly by score and nothing else (with weighted scores for the 2/3 eventers), it’s still a C Team, the layout just looks a little bit different.

I want the FIG to make a rule where if you land feet first and butt second you get like a 5 in execution. I love her but I’m disgusted a Produnova with a fall gets her the same score as a DTY with no fall.

yes she does and she also gets deducted for lack of rotation, leg separation, etc. my point is that 2.5 is not enough deduction considering the quality of this vault and the risk involved in chucking it.

And she will continue to compete it if she can get scores like this until one day she hurts herself doing it

I feel like they should introduce something where if when you land your butt is less than a 45 degree angle from your feet you should get an additional full point deducted. Like if you’re landing basically in a squat position and it just happens your feet touch the ground a fraction of a second before your butt, that should not get a similar score to any vault that is landed standing up.
