The cycle is broken, yet the ultimate price was paid.

Usagi has never existed.

Would you be okay with people redrawing your artworks or taking very heavy inspiration from them (if they credit you ofc) or would it be uncomfortable

That’s totally fine!👍

Quoting one of your posts

"The thing with Pluto is that I cannot make her care, as soon as there’s bias she’s completely broken to me. She has to be able to kill or save say Chibiusa as she’s willing to killor save the most vile person, without 0 hesitation or thought"

Does it mean that she doesn't feel anything towards Chibiusa unlike in canon, or are they still friends but if needed Pluto would set her attachment aside and kill her?

I think it’s up to interpretation! I tend to think as Pluto as an outside factor, but she does occasionally act like a normal caring human being. Now does she do it because she does deep down care about these people and misses human connection or does she do it just because that’s what she’s “supposed to do” according to her time line? You choose.

I think having these lines addressed but not totally resolved allows for broader character interpretations. Same for the girls, I see the Crystal shaping their destiny to have them all meet and care about each other and the princess, does that mean their relationship with each other is, on the most detached and objective definition, meaningless? I don’t personally think so, but I can see why in the most technical term that would be the case.

Hi! Big moonie here! I must say, as someone who grew up with Sailor Moon (the 90s anime ofc) being her first actual anime, I didn't (or at least used to) like Crystal very much. Granted, I was twelve when I first watched Crystal Season 1 and 2 and didn't understand why the show that was super funny and full of character was now full of tears and romantics and drama.

So I stuck my head in the dirt about Crystal and refused it as canon (even though it was closer to the Canon than the '90s) and finished the show, never giving Crystal a second thought.

And then as soon as I turned 15, I read the manga and enjoyed it a lot, so I gave Crystal another chance, and I think I honestly like it a lot more now. Like, the art style of Season 1/2 was pretty good (when the anime was trying that is) and so was SOME of the animation, (there's a scene in Season 2 where Usagi is fighting the Black Moon gang and she turns around with a determined look on her face and holds th sliver Crystal up in the air and the animation and music is so good and got me hype.)

Anyway, long rant, but after getting through the ups and downs of Seasons 1 and 2, semi-enjoying Season 3, and being bored out of my mind with the slog that is the two Eternal Movies, Cosmos the Movie might be my favorite piece of Sailor Moon media ever unexpectedly??? I was wondering if you felt the same as well. Like it wasn't perfect, but it feels like an amazing send-off to both the 90s anime and Crystal for me.

I’m very happy to hear that!

Again, don’t let my opinions on certain iterations of Sailor Moon detract any enjoyment you get from them, you like what you like. If it brings you happiness, then that is all one can really ask for from a piece of media.

I’m not a fan of Crystal, and I have only half watched through season 3 and the Eternal movies, but Idk, I don’t think I‘ll end up watching Cosmos. I think I’ve just come to terms with the fact that it just isn’t for me and that’s ok, cause there’s clearly plenty of other people who do love it and that makes me happy.

Hello love your art 🩷

Ok question if reí and minako had a discussion who would apologize first ?

Idk why but I have this silly idea of reí and mina getting into an argument/discussion and reí just telling mina to get out or something and mina coming back after like 1 hour and making a dramatic I’m sorry🥺,like reí opening the door and mina in the rain but in reality it’s usagi with a garde hose cuz she told her it would help for dramatic effect

Hello! Thank you! Hope you’re still around, this is yet another very old ask.

Your idea is very cute and Usagi would 100% do that for Mina.

With Reinako I think it’s very very dependent on what they are fighting about. Unlike Makoami, who I see fighting very very rarely, I think Rei and Mina fight on a pretty regular basis, but it’s almost never too serious, it’s just the nature of their characters and how they tend to play off one another, where if Mako and Ami fight, then it’s most often a very big deal.

If the reason for the fight is non-senshi related then most often I think Mina would be the reason the fight starts to begin with, but also she’d be the one to reach forward and apologize first, even if it might not be 100% her fault. Given the nature of Rei stubbornness and lack of self-reflection, for her admitting she’s wrong is no easy feat, and I think Mina understands this very well and takes the step to open herself to faults first so Rei feels more comfortable admitting possible wrongdoings from her part.

If the fight is senshi related then it gets way more complicated. Mina loves Rei, I’m not saying she doesn’t, but if Mina has to choose between the integrity of the team or her relationship with Rei, then she’d end up breaking up with her quickly and I think Rei would do the same. This is a mutual understanding in their relationship.

It’s a difficult line to ride, they have to keep these two “lives” separate, but at the same time they understand that they are essentially the same person as their lover. So I can honestly see them having disagreements as senshi, as leader and second in command, but their relationship as lovers remaining unchanged from their eyes. It’s something I don’t see any other member of the team outside of possibly Michiru in some circumstances.

So.. if they fight and the fight is senshi related I don't think there is going to be much apologizing most of the time. Maybe early on as the team is just starting and Mina still isn’t fully into her own as leader and goes too far with Usagi, that’s the easiest way I can see them fighting as senshi and Mina coming forth and apologizing.

All this said, does Rei ever apologize? Sometimes yes lol, but you’re not allowed to tell anyone.

Headcanon that Rei has the ability to produce a move called Flamethrower. A large and deadly projection of fire produced from the mouth and breath. Downside is, she has to ingest spicy curry cooked by Mina - And only Mina ❤🔥

Poor poor Rei.

I think that would be the point she gives her resignation letter and just nopes out. 🤣

Rei's immune to fire, she's not immune to Mina's cooking!

What do you think of the amazon trio? In my opinion I like them as they're one of my favorite villains behind galaxia and above zoisite they're also pretty funny in supers and eternal

Avatar

I’m mostly mixed on them. I like their characters in the abstract, they have a fun dynamic and their origin is interesting, but their execution is really terrible in my opinion. And I do feel bad cause I know people like them and most of the reasons I don’t like them are not 100% their fault.

If you know me, you know there are certain.. themes.. that I’m not really into being in a sailor moon story and they very much fall on the other side of that line.

With Sailor Moon being a mainly female cast show, I think the story does mostly a good job at not falling into dangerous territory, but they just dropped it with the Amazon trio. The s*a metaphor was 100% unnecessary, it did nothing for their characters or their development, it didn’t even work as to make us hate them and root for them as villains cause they all get redeemed by the end.

Tigers eye is the worst offender by far, but they all get their own ‘spotlight’ and oh god… fish’s eye .. you deserve better. He could’ve been much better representation, instead he really fell into the role of the “deceiver”, which is prob the worst “queer representation” trope you can get for a cross dressing and possibly trans-man character. . (I get it it was the 90’s, that’s why Im not mad about it. Just disappointed, because with HaruMichi they clearly showed they can get queer rep right)

All that said, I do understand my vision is heavily tainted by bias against their actions in the show and how the writers showed to portray such actions, so I’ve learned to sort of distance them from what they are in canon and sort of try to see them as what they are and mean to other people.

Also yeah, they’re pretty funny though.
