Im having a Kuro sad hours so I’m just gonna tell you that this man has gone through hell.
He wasn’t only severely abused by his father before he killed him, he also didn’t stop walking aimlessly for weeks hoping a human would shoot him dead only to get abducted into a facility that made experiments with exceptional druls where he met his very first friends.
He also escaped that place even tho he didn’t want to because his lover had been his whole life inside that facility and wanted to see the world that had rejected their whole existence. He escaped because he trusted he would be by his side, so even a ruined awful world like that was worth living because it had his lover and his friends in it, but Kuro lost his reasoning when he had to leave his lover behind to escape.
So when he goes back for him, he realizes he has gone through the last stage of the experiments and having him back means killing him. So when he refuses to do so, and continues to fight him, who’s several times stronger than him, he has to make a deal with the owner of the facility in order to help him return back to normal.
Even if the price is his own freedom and his lover’s memories about him.
Only for years after systematically killing his own species because of orders of his “owner”, he sees his lover fall in love with someone else, over and over. Until he realizes the person he loved is long dead now and searches for someone else to fill that void. Only to find the person that loves him back so much, that would give her life for him, rapes him in order to get a child out of him, even after a million talks about how he couldn’t let that happen.
So when she delivers, he takes the new born, realizes the miracle he has in his hands before he burns half of his face to make him unrecognizable and gives him away before announcing his child died at birth.
Not because he couldn’t be a father, not because of revenge, but because he knew both, the thing crawling inside him would search to kill him in order to enter his son’s body, and the owner of his life, the person who gave him back his lover, would do anything to kill that child.
So when his lover realizes what he did for him, the atrocities he committed in the name of “protection” he hears him swear to him he will kill him and make the world go to hell with him. He actually agrees and lets him try, but when he’s so close to, his owner rescues him. Seizing full control over his territory and starting a full blown war with humanity by using him as a weapon.
A weapon his lover wants dead and his beloved protégée wishes to save when he has become a weapon himself because he will be useful against the real enemy in this war.
This man’s only wish was to have the people next to him be happy.
His sin was that it didn’t matter to him if the world caught on fire if it made them happy.

Oh dear, thank you so much.
Kuro is this one character that wasn’t supposed to be more than an old memory of the main character. A good one from a nice past, but suddenly his role began to eat the others. Actually his real name has to do with a god who did that to his own children. It was an omen his father cleverly knew would happen someday.
Kuro can look like the strongest of his kind, not for nothing he’s the leader of a “rebellion” and is called “the Angel of death”, but he used to be very different. He was weak. It was such a disappointment precisely because his father was the leader of a radical group that killed hundreds in a single night, all on his and Kuro’s mother command. Which, let’s say it wasn’t a happy marriage and it was an even more unhappy family. Kuro distinctly remembers being at one of his father’s speeches, barely holding himself together to not bend and cry because the injuries on his back burnt and hurt so much. His father never saw his mother and him as equals, actually, he saw them as possessions. Objects he could toss around until they broke. So he amused himself watching them curl in fear of him.
The scars from that time never healed even when Kuro excels at regeneration and healing. The pain and fear still lingers on his back and he’s so scared to let anyone see it, that he never undresses in front of his trusted team. Never takes his shirt off when he’s with his lovers. Nobody knows he has nothing but a web of scars on his back, wrists and ankles that no matter how many times he tries, they never fade.
Let’s say Kuro knows how to escape all types of restraints, using the most barbaric methods because his father loved to watch him struggle and not amusing him meant death.
Of course, a breaking point came and Kuro failed miserably at his attempt of killing his father. He learns then it was for the purpose of implanting himself in his son’s body, that he was born at all. Kuro was stronger than any of his kind, but at the price of having his father’s mind merged with his. Poisoning every corner of his mind.
He pretty much went insane after that and somehow, because he found family in the darkest place after the darkest of times, he recovered his sanity.
He couldn’t live without his family, so he would do whatever it took to have them back, alive and well. But of course, Kuro’s destiny is to be miserable because he can’t not go to extremes when it comes to a breaking point. He quite literally explodes into a monster, much like his father. Which is something he is repulsed by, but can’t seem to stop. So, when he gets his family back, at such a great price, but they don’t remember him, he can’t go back and undo his mistakes, no matter how much he begs for it.
He learns soon enough he can only slightly bite the leash other’s have put on him before he gets pulled and punished, but punishment and pain never stopped him before and most certainly it won’t do it now that he sees a possibility to end all suffering his kind has bravely endured for a century.
No matter what is the price for peace, he will pay it.
He’s my original tragic character and he was supposed to die in the end, but now? Well, he knows very well dying would be a mercy for him and such considerations have been long denied to him.

The whumpee had been trained by the whumper, and they hate how noticeable it is. Despite the constant years of punishment, torture, and blood, they still use the same techniques as the person who would hurt them for messing the smallest thing up. At one point after beating an enemy half to death without realizing it, they start to believe that they’re just like the whumper.

This is a self note but it´s cute enough to share
Kuro was insanely touch aversed when he was young and Alec really helped with that, they made it their little own way to create comfort in a... pretty awful place. However, when shit hit the fan and Alec ends up with a brain injury that leaves him with speech and motor issues, part of their rehabilitation was to imitate the handshake they used to do.
Due the injury Alec never remembers its origin, but Kuro does for him and in a way, it never was forgotten.
I haven’t posted anything substancial on him yet, but here, my son Kuro.
I miss him so fucking much ahhhh

I’ll choose then, Albus and Robert, (from the BBU), Ray and Kuro (Demi humans) and Salarien (Mare land)
What are your OCs favorite snacks? Their fave comfort food? Favorite meal to make? Do they enjoy baking and cooking and are they good in the kitchen?
This one is a Kuro question! He has an obsession for his friend’s, Alec, homemade cookies. They’re regular ginger cookies but he would kill for a box. He loves Alec makes them specially for him so if he feels absolutely stressed he can go and eat some and feel a tiny bit easier. He might be not bad at cooking but he doesn’t enjoy it.
Albus isn’t picky with food, but he loves wraps. He can throw literally anything and it will be delicious. Comfort food would be either salty vinegar chips or twinkies. He is very good at cooking and he enjoys it but he hates baking. It was easier to mess up quantities in training and the handlers didn’t let it slip.
What little things they notice about people or the world around them that makes them happy? What tiny little treasures do they find in the normal everyday that makes the world seem brighter?
Ray is a tough, edgy doctor. But he loves laughter and messy, childish paint on the walls. He loves seeing people smile so brightly after he treats them back to health. He loves the sound of a party where everyone is enjoying themselves and are comfortable with him around. He’s always excited to eat real food that he can munch and taste. People listening attentively to the stories his mother told him when he was young, with big eyes and a half smile on their face.
What are some of their favorite things and why?
Robert loves luxury and pretty things. Kind of like a crow he sees shiny and immediately goes to it. So, he loved to dress Sann in pretty clothes and cuffs so he would see something nice everyday. Robert loves to travel. He did many business trips and moved around a lot with Sirius so going to other countries fascinate him. Sann has come along in those travels too. Muzzled and very happy to travel sitting next to him instead of in the back, in a cage.
Kuro loves his friends above anything else. Having jokes with them, being able to walk and do bike races on the dessert and just, know they have his back. If the world burns because he tried to save them so be it.
Albus loves lazy Saturday mornings. Waking up to Sann on his side, getting a good breakfast, relaxing or going out to buy the ingredients for a backyard dinner to watch the stars with everyone, is just pure happiness for him. Later, it would be phone calls and letters. Every time from a different number and direction. And seeing his found son grow to be a little inquisitive, but strong and loved young man.
What is your favorite fact about this character and why?
Salarien is a character that named himself. I’ve mentioned it a few times already, but it keeps amusing me. It wasn’t your regular “that fits” naming. It was straight up seeing a shadow in my room that talked smoothly. We talked for a while and I asked for his name, obviously not expecting he answered. He was just an hallucination at most. I don’t know his full name but I heard Salarien and he accepted it. Just said he would be there for me if I needed him and that names are important, so it was safer I didn’t know his full name. I wish I was making this up.
Does this OC deserve better treatment from you? Do you make them suffer just a little bit too much?
Albus deserves so, so much better. I’m very sorry my boy. I sometimes get negative bleed from how strong his emotions are when writing him.
Kuro and Ray also deserved so much better. Although, Kuro earned some of it himself.
Robert deserves anything awful that comes to him and that’s the truth.
If you as the writer could erase one traumatic event from your OC’s life what would it be and why?

Albus’s seeing his mother run away without him and his sister. She said she would come back for them, but he didn’t expect to see her again at her funeral a few weeks later. If she had lived, Albus would have a wildly different life. The other would be the days before turning into a BoxBoy.

From the BoxBoy series:
Zarai Montenegro: The successful businesswoman that decides to buy 778900 to somehow sooth her loneliness and fill the space her family left when they passed away because of a tragic accident. Posing it as wanting to get an assistant. She´s a bad liar and a bit geeky. Zarai´s quite cold and very demanding in the outside, but fiercely protective of the ones dear to her. Her moral compass is a mess and that´s the sole reason I created her. She was in a comma for three months after the accident and came to with a deep, highly functional depression and hodophobia. She won´t ever let anyone drive unless it´s herself. She is around 35-37.
Albus Serra/778900: Zarai´s pet. He´s an albino box boy with red eyes that waited five years to be bought. He was given the identity of Albus Serra, Zarai´s assistant who is in no way a box boy who signed willingly at 17. Albus is deeply observant and critical (honestly, he´s also very sarcastic, but keeps it hidden), caring to the point of being dangerously self sacrificing. He has an abusive past that he is trying to run from at the same time he craves knowing more, and used art to cope, gaining great skill at it. Albus has repeteadly gone through malnutriton, shrinking his stomach and stunting his growth (he´s 160cm/5´2″) besides other health issues WRU tried its best to take care of. He´s hopelessly in love with Sann, Robert´s pet. He´s 22.
Robert Glass: Ex-CEO of the company Zarai and Albus work for. He used to be a successful business man and had a very promising future. However, an accident that took his lover´s and mother´s life along Zarai´s family, left him with a deep depression and addictions. Until his father bought Sann for him, as he had the same face as his lover´s, Sirius. He then took out every portion of his anger on him. He is terrifyingly good at reading people and getting information, which makes him a great negotiator and a horrible whumper. I don´t have any drawing of him yet! But he has ashy brown hair and brown eyes (and tbh he´s infuriatingly handsome). He´s around 38-40.
Sann/793003: Robert´s pet. He was a costume order gift from Robert´s father, a Romantic pet intended to replace Sirius. However, he wasn´t trained to act like him, because in most things, he´s almost the exact same. WRU was delighted to know that. Sann´s really smart and learns super quickly. Never said it, but he managed to remember how to read and write himself at Robert´s house. He´s incredibly bratty and sympathetic. Sann´s mutenes comes from an injury Robert made to “punish” him for running his mouth that almost kills him. Though, his body is littered in scars from his Master´s abuse. He has a swimmer type of body and was a Mexican college student before becoming a box boy. His major was physics! He met Albus at the facility, but it took him a while to meet again and notice he was in love with him too. He´s 22.
Cloude Doran: Zarai´s partner and Robert´s ex-brother in law. Cloude is a skilled oncologist and surgeon who worked with Zarai´s husband. He suffers from night terrors, result of the same accident Zarai and Robert lost their families to. He´s laid back and not nosy at all, but has a sense of humor that tries to imitate his brother´s. He doesn´t have an actual place for himself and alternates between living as the Glass´s mansion and Zarai´s house. He´s part of a pet lib group and offered Zarai to help free Albus. He has an odd attachment to Sann. Guilt and longing? He´s around 35-37.
Anne Serra: Albus little sister, which he´s not ready to remember what happened to her just yet. (but he will remember eventually. And it will. hurt. :)) She´s five years younger than him and was a little brat that loved drawing and Albus´s portrait of their mother was her favorite piece in existance.
Sirius Doran: Robert´s fiance. A biologist with a great sense of humor who was very laid back about life. WRU tried recruiting him once. His thesis was about mind altering plants and serums after all, but wasn´t interested so he stayed away. He saw Albus at the facility while on cooking training and the thought of buying him REALLY did cross his mind. As a Platonic and Romantic. He would be very freaked out at Sann. He was 38 when he died.
Rupert Glass: Robert´s father. A millionair who lacks lots of empathy and owns Zarai´s company, who has a deal with her, respecting Albus. He has stage 3 pulmonar cancer and Cloude is his oncologist. Rupert tried to make Robert the perfect heir for his business and was very disappointed to see him spiral into depression. Hence, Sann. He´s a very quiet and collected man. When he was young he had a pet his parents gave him for his 26th birthday. Nobody really knows what happened to the pet with heterochromia with Romantic and Platonic designations...
Momo: Zarai´s crippled cat. She saved it from euthanasia (much similar to Albus), after being discharged from the hospital. After the incident. She found a way of mitigating the crushing loneliness by taking care of it. Momo adores Zarai. But would trot to Albus anytime. He has snacks in his pockets for it after all.
Diana: The retired cleaning lady who´s basically Zarai´s best friend. She´s a full on empath that frowns at the pet industry but doesn´t really get herself too deep into it. She just wants some peace. She knows Zarai since she was like 5. She has a daughter. A nurse named Carla of Zarai´s age. She was friends with Jarred and treated Sann when Robert almost made him enter a pool and stay naked in a snowy christmas night.
Tbh, if I tried to tell you about Alec, Ray, Trisha and Kuro I wouldn´t finish this ever. Let´s just say this, I´ve been working on them for 6 years. Still, little info??
Alec/[REDACTED]/Ghost: FtM technician and cook. He doesn´t pass very well and is often misgendered. He couldn´t care less. Friend described him as ball of sunshine. Strong as balls, great with robotics and quick like lightning. He has some speech issues and amnesia after an injury that left a scar that goes arouond all his nape. He´s a drul. (mutated humans) After a timeskip he becomes one of the major antagonists.
Ray Rowe: Aroace genious kid. His upbringing is a royal mess. He trained to be a military doctor and bio researcher and is very skilled. He was bullied because of his half blood status. Ray´s very passionate but can be very cold to strangers. He just needs to warm up and you will get to his fluffy part. He just wants peace.
Trisha Carraño: Vice captain of the drul´s resistance, Apolo, and Kuro´s girlfriend. She´s stubborn and proud, maybe to the point she´s overbearing and way too demanding. She fights for a better future for druls and to give her children a place to live freely. Also a drul.
Kuro Rumble/[REDACTED]: Captain of Apolo. The strongest drul in existance and the most wanted man in Earth. He´s called “the angel of death” thanks to his ability to form wings and go in bloody rampages. He´s witty, strong and a perfect leader. But he holds too many secrets. He doesn´t want children.
