Hmm isn’t it so funny how a lot of the “both sides suck!!!” leftists will make and share posts listing suicide hotlines and resources for survival under a Republican presidency, but these posts never appear when Democrats win? Wow it’s almost like everyone knows Republicans are infinitely more dangerous and your “both sides” game is full of shit.

Oh wow. My school said that as a school they must be nonpartisan but they also have a commitment to pursuing DEI, and therefore have to acknowledge that this election cycle has platformed "racist, misogynistic, and hateful rhetoric". my coworker's aunt's house has already been vandalized with anti-Black slurs. they've been generally staying out of teacher's business when it comes to supporting students post-election.

but I'll say that my charter district has always given us a lot of freedom to discuss things within reason. For example, my Palestinian friend who teaches middle school has had a palestinian flag up on her wall since she started teaching there and there has never been an issue. (the general public school district is a different story and recently fired a high school teacher for supporting students expressing anti-genocide beliefs in a school project)

I did have a couple of students who were happy about the election results, but they read the room pretty well and kept it quiet (I also feel like I understand my students better now knowing whose families support trump). Few of my students need to worry about themselves or their families being deported, but there have been other concerns as it's a community that is predominantly Black and Muslim. I also have a 5th grader who has been questioning their gender identity, and their whole class had questions about trans rights. There's just a lot of uncertainty right now, which I recognize is a lot different from my friends who have students who are undocumented or have family members who are undocumented. Many of their students' entire sense of safety has been stripped from them overnight.

this is not true. i dont know why people think this. the nazi soldiers wholeheartedly believed what they were doing was the right thing and that mechanizing genocide just made it easier. they did not think it was bad at all. they also destroyed hundreds of villages on the eastern front and tortured and murdered countless civilians to boost morale.

You are going to be trapped in a classroom or daycare room full of children for one school day and you will have to interact with them (assume there are other adults like a teacher or daycare employee present, so you don’t have to handle lessons/rules/emergencies, but you still have to interact with the kids via play, conversation, care, etc.)
