Not gonna lie, I cried. Sobbed like a baby. Oliver so rarely gets the recognition he deserves outside of his world on “Arrow.” That Kara Danvers (who’s known Oliver for mere days) not only sees him as a hero and a strong leader but tells him as much endears her to me so much. I’ll love Kara forever for this.

Flash writers: For our first crossover we're going to come up with a metahuman who controls people's moods specifically so Barry will get pissed and fight with Oliver.
DCEU writers: Batman is going to go ham and try to fucking murder Superman.
MCU writers: We're adapting a comic arc that literally splits the entire superhero community in half and makes them fight each other.
Supergirl writers: Okay so what if... Kara meets Barry and then they get ice cream? And donuts? And then hug and have a friendly race :)

Yeah this is pretty much how I figured this would go. Someone is going to have to explain the difference between these two gifs. So far… I’m not seeing it. I just see puppies.
Now that the episode has aired I can say this gif is 100% accurate. SO MUCH PUPPY. Kara and Barry are the cutest. They need to open a lemonade stand together. TONS of chemistry, but not all chemistry is romantic in nature. I didn’t see romance between Barry and Kara. I just saw two buddies who really understood each other. It was fun to watch James’ jealousy though. The entire episode was hysterical. Wynn’s reactions to Barry, Barry’s reactions to Kara & her world, Kara’s reactions to Barry, Cat Grant and her reactions to… everything. Her CW comment? I died.
It was probably the best episode of Supergirl this year. I highly recommend watching.
Loved all the Arrow shoutouts. One of my favorite parts was Barry checking the perimeter. He’s listening to Oliver :) Lots of respectful, and fun shoutouts, to the show that started the DC TV empire.
