Hi there! Long time no see! That’s cause I’ve been attempting to stay sane while dealing with a teething angry 2 year old during the quarantine. I hope you’re all doing well, and are excited to start reading Another Dawn.

Stay tuned.

But if you don’t like waiting, join us over on Patreon for early access along with special behind the scenes development for the comic. That, or share everything here! It all helps!

WHERE WERE THE GIANT FUCKING SPIDERS IN THE REMAKE!? HUH!? WHERE!? (And the crows)

I really missed the giant spiders. And while there were secret webs in the sewers you could find, it's just not the same.

So...I may or may not have spent about 17 pages building up to this reveal of spiders surrounding our survivors.

Anddd you tell me how they're handling it.

FYI- That is a grass spider which I fucking LOATHE. Back in a shitty apartment I lived in while in San Francisco, grass spiders invaded and were literally eating me alive. I woke up covered in bites and had a slight allergic reaction. Though not as bad as my buddy who lived in the upstairs apartment. He had to stay home, he was feeling so bad.

But yes. I hate grass spiders. And by Leon's expression, I think he hates spiders to. ;)

Welcome to the next chapter.

I'll continue posting by page number while online, and since the ending page for Chapter 1-1 was a spread that makes this officially page 12.

Now, if you've been paying attention you would have noticed all the spiders in the first chapter. They're everywhere, in fact, and it might be a fun little game to see if people can find them all.

In case you didn't know the spider on the page is doing something called "ballooning". It's when a spider makes a long silken parachute and then goes up in the wind current to travel.  Usually its babies that do this in the spring, and certain species of females that are out in the eastern part of the world, but I know it happens here in the states as I've had a spider fly by my face while eating a hotdog.

Very strange to make eye contact mid bite with a slow floating arachnid.

Any who, I would imagine sleeping out in an open field in the Midwest would be filled with all sorts of critters. Lucky for our survivors most spiders out in the open planes aren't poisonous, mostly being grass spiders, wolf spiders, and orb weaver species. Brown recluse tend to chill in darker wooded areas much like the Northern Black Widow. So, you won't see those two in this comic. Lucky survivors.

So, enjoy the beginning of the next chapter. And here. Have a gander at this asshole spider who decided to pop out of the comic and onto my headphones.
